if the premium is lower than what they bought it from you, just buy it back to keep your shares
Thomas Clark
Yes buy the dip with 10% stop-loss Rate cut news went unnoticed today.
Jose Miller
Not necessarily. I've had times where calls didn't get exercused even though they were in the money. Exercising a call is buying the stock. If buying the stock doesn't look attractive to the person that's long (especially if its only slighty in the money), they can put in a request to not exercise the option.
Jack Smith
Umm, excuse me, I was told there would be a "bull run" today? Would you mind telling me if I will have to wait for sour hour?
Is that a good thing for gold mining stocks or not? Ive made far to many moves stock market moves based off instinct and ive been justed hard.
Eg want to buy my ODP 9/20 $1.50 sell call back but the moment I do close it at a loss it'll probably tank. Purposefully ignoring my instinct to take the hit. At the same time it'll probably be that my instinct was right.

>which will confirm rate cut Last time I checked he have a Republican Administration, and last time I checked the FED doesn't cut rates during Republican Administrations. #RateHike #FridaySellOff #TheBigOne
Jaxon Gray
I still can't believe how badly that former fed guy is fucking up with his articles.
Does he have a book coming out or something? Why does he want that much attention?

Good jobs number = justed Powell speech won't matter at that point.
Bad or steady jobs = indifferent Powell speech will send gold up.
Austin Flores
No, it's a presentation at some conference ("Goldman Sachs 26th Annual Retailing Conference"). I'm having a hard time finding any info about the conference online, outside of various company press releases. I'm listening to Home Depot's presentation now.
Bentley Bailey
ADP numbers are way up for Aug, and .25 is already priced in, a .50 would be what you are looking for. ISM is up as well
Blake King
GTII is sort of puttering around not ready to break loose yet. I kinda hope it dips a little from impatient retail so i can beef up my position a tad.
Cresco Labs is going ham, trying to break resistance presently. I have taken partial profit at 12.50 (cad).
Hmm i expect job numbers to be bad. Then again the government doesnt seem to show an accurate value imo eg unemployed for too long means you dont count towards the math.
Well now that my self said that I guess I wont buy any more as it is the opposite of what I want to do.
Uhh what, that is seriously pumping its price!? How is that pumping it!? Ehh i pass on buying any, the last two times it pumped lile this it tanked afterwards. Dont want to get justed by odp stock a third time.
Dylan Edwards
how does a little nobody user get into the cloudfare IPO? Never tried to get into an IPO before.
Angel Ramirez
WKHS meeting should be any minute now. Power Hour probably gonna be lit
Henry Brown
Just bought some calls for PagerDuty (PD). I use their service at work all the time but that doesnt mean I wont get justed by the earnings call
John Kelly
GTII will follow, i guess we'll see some giant weekly candle
Joshua Cook
Anyone shorting LULU? I remember an "insider" came in a couple threads ago saying to short.
You just now figured out the entire system is rigged? Ignore fundamentals, were here to make money. Anyway, ADP employment numbers are released today, they are good 195 vs 148 expected. Youll get no rate cut, or a .25 either one is shit sandwich for any side.
Cooper Carter
I know that CRWD and ZM have their earnings call today. Should I buy a call in one of those to hedge my loses?
no because it can take months before we finally see a dump..roku dump will happen faster imo
Robert Young
>Uhh what, that is seriously pumping its price!?
Bots? I don't know.
Adam Ortiz
I mean on one hand I'm happy my portfolio is flat. It's perfectly weighted to be invariant to large moves, rebalanced for peak efficiency. The tinge of short volatility is icing on the cake as both a short term error corrector and a long term value accumulator. Were it a spy -2% day the same thing should occur.
But I just can't help not seeing gainz on a big gainz day. The gambler inside is not happy. I did deposit an extra $100 laying around tho so that's cool I guess.
How can holding for 1 year for long-term gains tax beat short-term gains tax of 7%? Make $100 >Throw $7 to Uncle Sam to trade tomorrow >Hold for a year and keep the $7
How do you do this!? Im down about 3%from last month. I dont want to wagecuck anymore. I have 10k to work with please teach me
Oliver Bennett
My wagie gig is at a university. Confirm there appears to be less yoga pants this fall. More high waisted sort of 80's style jeans. Some skirts though, pleasant to see.
This high waisted fad sucks. Waistband above the belly button i mean come on that looked bad in the 80's and it looks bad now. Boo.
Joshua Rodriguez
I don't fucking know. I wanted to daytrade this mess and now it's fucking halted for news. I couldn't really find a reason for why it's down exept some huge insider selling. I was up 5%. If this fucks up my shit now I'm gonna be angry.
STOP FUCKING CRABBING AND DUMP ALREADY I WANT BLOOD
Cooper Perez
most people won't beat the market by trading in and out of it.
Dylan Price
How does stock trading work with capital gains? I was reading a bit about it in the previous thread. If I buy $2,500 of a stock and sell at $3,000 will I have to pay the equivalent capital gains tax of 22% or whatever bracket I fall in to? If all I made in a year off stocks via buying here and selling there netted me $500, how likely is it I could get away with just not paying the $135-ish dollars?
Benjamin Reed
You need to hold a share for a least a year for it to qualify as capital gains so it doesn't apply to anyone in this thread.
Nicholas Myers
>look at stock >ask yourself, “will the stock never go higher than it is now?” >if no, then buy it >if yes then move on
Joshua Rodriguez
Thank you based user
Luke Perry
Before one year = add that sum to your taxable income for the year
After one year = get taxed at the lesser rate for being a good goy
anyone have a small cap to invest in? I have about 10-20k to invest.. looking for a 6 month time frame...
Nicholas Lee
god i wish every correction looked like that
Jason Myers
Luck, and catching falling knives, buying calls at the bottom for a bounce back
Isaac Flores
Ahhhh i just went all in on gold mining companies and they all crashed I'm finacially ruineddddd! Jk.
So how long do you hold, in general, before selling. Dont want to end up having the majority of my funds stuck in the stock market when it comes crashing due to wanting to buy cheap stock.
Gabriel Rodriguez
why should I own anything besides this:
50% SSO 50% QLD
I'm 2x leveraged into both SP500 and Chadaq, what could be better? They hold through recessions, they make heaps during bull runs, why own anything else honestly?
Leo Ross
Yeah, try and rephrase that but without the downs syndrome
Isaiah Ramirez
Hmmm lol i want to catch the gold mining stock falling knife but am absolutely terrified due to that strong possiblity of a recession/depression.
Jace Wright
Small cap? I’ve heard about this struggling drug company...
Jace Brooks
Long term is more than a year short term is less than a year. Least here in the states. I mean if you want to risk the IRS go for it.
Xavier Cook
>needs less downs Not going to make it
Jack Hall
IT WAS OUR TURN REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
