I guess if you're a bit rootless it could appeal. The cities I've lived in have all vastly outshone london: Edinburgh, Durham, Belfast (just outside of) and now i live in a yorkshire town. I occasionally have to journey to london and god do i find it revolting.

its not my home by far, I have a buddy that lives there and is where I go for my holidays 2 weeks of the year, I can do everything I want to there, debauchery, cocaine and x and meet new interesting people, followed by chill times next to the river with a good dinner and a beer, or smoking a joint next to the metronome where you can watch the locals skate.

Its a great place if you have money too, great boat parties, real high class dining and shopping if your so inclined.

London I can comment on is HELL, its overcrowded, overcongested, the upper echelons you rub shoulders with are toxic cunts that are likely all private boys clubs (i.e. eaton mafia), and the rest is like other user says, immigrant hel hole.

London is a shithole, I would say paris would be preferrential but id be lying.

Alternatively, barcelona is a fantastic place too if you have money but cba to write about it now. 1 thing with barca, I never once had a bad meal there, always top notch

Manchester is pretty good, fairly big crime city but the disposition of the locals is what makes it, mancs are friendly good guys for the most part, good crowd to be in with.

Liverpool is good also, but otherwise I would disagree with you.

Birmingham is an ethnic cit, and a shithole, too many pakis, same can be said for sheffield. Leed's is inbetween this and white privelidge jews with too much money, kids driving around in mustangs with pakis extorting them for drugs.

It seems you just like places you can party with drugs and slags. So we're going to have different tastes of nations, england won't be typically for you compared to barcelona and prague. For example i found Manchester awful whereas I've found sheffield 'quite' nice despite the arab population. Good climbing, peaks access and some nice views. Though i know a social worker there who says there's an active arab rape gang being permitted.

Otherwise as said I've lived in Edinburgh, belfast, durham as cities. Loved them all. Other places i love are Bath, Harrogate, Cambridge, anywhere in the cotswalds, isle of white, and ireland, even dublin despite the black population.

Anyway we all have different requirements: i like an area with minimal non-white population, good natural scenery, small population and lots of space.

Barcelona is a real shame, its a beautiful area and some world class architecture. Spanish people are fun and nice but over the years I've been it's gotten blacker and blacker, dirtier, crime ridden and yes now very left wing with anti-tourist graffiti everywhere.

There is a slight problem with brits treating it as a huge night out but really some drunk brit singing oasis at 3am is a tiny problem compared to the rest. I've had more attempted muggings in holidays to Barcelona than in the entire 20 years i lived in london.

Yes the context of Muslims in London seems to be slightly different, alot more rich arabs and turks while the North or places like Luton seem to attract the poor Pakistani villagers.

I prefer warmer weather so ideally I'd settle in the cotswalds or isle of wight, but im celtic so im designed for the ice fields of scotland/NI.

As for space i just need to be half an hour drive from a good sized town, I'd like a house with no adjacent neighbours in the country. My wife is much more social though so we'll find a compromise.

Definitely there is that pattern, but that doesn't mean the standard of them in london is adequate. Most of the rich ones you see in mayfair and the department stores just visit during summer.

I'd argue that "only 400K people" is misleading. Density is probably what you should care about.

Macau has "only" 600K people and it feels more crowded than Hong Kong because it's all crowded into 3 islands (or one combined island now) the size of maybe 5 suburban neighborhoods.

I live in barcelona and it's another immigrant infested shithole. The last 4 or 5 years have seen a very marked decline, mass import of refugees and commie politicians are doing their best to destroy it. I have no sympathy, though. If I had to pick a city, I would definitely live in Tokyo but a) I don't want to help ruin it by adding more diversity to one of the last decently homogenous populations on earth even if I'm not a nigger. and b) I'm not fluent in weebspeak

Great food, lovely modern and traditional areas, polite people, lack of niggers or pakis compared to western capitals, everything works perfectly and is perfectly clean. Also, full of cultural events, both pop and traditional. 10/10 would live.
