How to gain income besides a full time job?

How do you gain income besides slaving a full time job?

Obviously the possibilities are endless, but not everything is reasonable (for me). And I also only have like €5k, maybe max €10-15k to play with, if I would be investing it. I am about to finish my masters, I am without a job and experience.

>MakerDAO & Compound.finance
I don't trust this (yet). With compound.finance you're basically trusting the team not to exit scam you. And with Maker you can also get fucked over. Besides, stability fee is 14.5%, liquidation fee 13% and borrow APR 15.5%..

>Buying property with a mortgage to rent out
Market seems a bit saturated here, lots of regulation and no stable income for (decent) mortgage.

>E-commerce & dropshipping
Doing this on the side seems like a possibility. But ads cost a fortune?

>Setting up my own business
I studied law, so I could become an entrepreneur in that field. I'd have to pick up some experience first though. Work a few years to build up experience and connections, then start myself. But then I wouldn't be slaving a full time job, but slaving my own business..

>Old/rare comic books
I have quite a few, finishing my last collection and then quitting collecting them.

>Setting up a crypto/blockchain shop
Rent a (small) place in a big city, sell crypto related books/merch/anything? Build a community, have people give speeches/lectures/whatever. Make people meet each other. Not sure how profitable it would be though.

Are there things I'm overlooking that I could be doing? Maybe doing something for a good cause which people give a lot of money to then taking a big chunk of that for yourself?

What are some good long term investments when I reach the right age and bankroll? Like solar panels, stocks..

Just buy some MITX and wait

Not really in need of any income right now. Like I said, finishing my studies. And I'm not gonna slave in a cafe or stupid shit like that. So what job would you suggest in the mean time?

Not really, got it from my grandpa and dad. But I've grown out of it. They're really good investments, better than gold.

buy chainlink and stake them, be happy I told you about it. Do your own research about it, believe nobody on this mongolian basket weaving forum.

dropshipping sucks dont do it

Standard path to internet money:
>Build website
>Create traffic, because website is awesome or attention-getting
>Monetize traffic

>Easy monetization, little money: adsense
>Medium difficulty monetization, medium money: amazon affiliates
>Hard monetization, good money: sell your own product

The hard part is figuring out how to build a good website. Or an attention-getting website.

To answer your questions:
>Like solar panels
Usually a bad investment, even with tax incentives. They break more often than people admit, and usually only pay for themselves with generous assumptions about energy usage and reliability.

>stocks
Read "Stocks for the Long Run". Buy index funds. Long-term, you'll probably get a return of inflation, plus 3%-8%.

So stocks are always worse than a good business idea, but usually better than other types of investment (real estate, bonds, etc).

>Rent a (small) place in a big city, sell crypto related books/merch/anything? Build a community, have people give speeches/lectures/whatever. Make people meet each other. Not sure how profitable it would be though.
You won't sell very much merch, or very many lectures. People can get those online. You won't cover rent. There is a reason these things don't exist.

Here's a better idea. Buy/sell on localbitcoins. Or pic related.

Per year, dude. Over twenty years, at 5%, your accumulated value would be:

>1.05^20 = 2.65, and (2.65 - 1)*$5,000 =

The initial $5,000, plus an additional $8,250

blowjob, handjob, rimjob
still jobs but better than wagiejobs...

What's index funds?

My idea was to build a product that's not totally useless or boring, like a watch, send it to all the top instagram models (pay them to wear it? heck i imagine there's a sizeable chunk that just wouldn't mind getting a free watch as a reward). Watch as normie sluts and guys looking to impress sluts start buying. But this has already been done by KO watches Also I have no idea how to design/manufacture a watch and there are costs associated with that.

I imagine an ever better thing would be to write/design cute aesthetic booklets full of inspirational or nostalgic quotes about summer, travel, love etc. Rupi Kaur style bullshit and send it out again to the instagram sluts who cater to that market anyways. I imagine there's a few sales to be made there. I can't imagine the costs of writing some bullshit tier poetry/prose (can do myself), design (can pay someone un fiverr or whatever), production and shipping would be too difficult. Maybe I'm wrong and you need a massive ad campaign but I'm fairly positive a book that serves as an aesthetic accessory to the kind of lifestyle millions of people want, wouldn't sell. Rupi Kaur already proved it can.

So now the question is...what are the costs of having a book printed and all that shit? Who should I turn to?

As a matter of fact, I think a well designed magazine focused entirely on the instagram travel (on the classier side rather than twerking thots) aesthetic, ie travel, food, nature, hot but classy women, cool guys and so forth...would sell really well as long as it hits the right aesthetic. But a full scale magazine would require multiple people involved. Which I would do if I knew people who: believed in the project, had certain skills they could contribute (writing, photography, design, connections, publishing, anything really...) wanted to work on it, and were looking at it as a way that could make money for all of us.

>I imagine an ever better thing would be to write/design cute aesthetic booklets full of inspirational or nostalgic quotes about summer, travel, love etc
Middle-aged single moms have already flooded the market with a completely free version of this on Facebook (usually accompanied by a completely unrelated picture of a minion)

Why would anyone buy this when they can just scroll through their Tumblr feed?

It's not aimed at middle age single moms? Middle age single moms don't read about dining in cool restaurants or having a cocktail on rooftop bars. The demographic for this is early 20s to mid 30s women and men who tend to go for a trendy/cool with an extremely slight touch of hipster styled aesthetic. The same chick that is following whatever cool instagram model (to say it again, vulgar, twerking thots are not relevant for this project) is wearing/doing will be the one that buys a magazine dealing with this same aesthetic/lifestyle. A magazine needs to have such a design that it hits that travel/trendy/sexy but not vulgar aesthetic perfectly and as long as you can get those instagram models post some pics reading it, talking about it...I am convinced you could get a number of their followers (women who want to feel like they are part of that aesthetic/lifestlye and men who want to impress women like that) to buy it. That is the bare minimum, with the right team and the right funds I believe it wouldn't need to rely on social media marketing that much anymore, but that's just something long-term. At the bare minimum I am sure there is at least 10k to be made there for no effort, and I'm being conservative here. Of course I'd love to have a real magazine with a good team (a writer, a designer, a photographer, website-design and technical shit...), but even a single person alone just by doing the bare minimum and getting the marketing with the instagram crowd correctly I am sure could pull in 10k (after costs) for maybe a couple weeks worth of work. I've made 3k basically on a hobby magazine for a hobby that has 0.00001% of the market that this kind of thing would have and offered zero marketing opportunities (which was the biggeset issue), so I'm reasonably confident that I could pull 10k for very little work on this one.

Not to mention there is a large number of daydreaming wage-slaves who can't wait for their next vacation to arrive where they can play out this kind of lifestyle with new cool locations, new cool clothing, new cool experiences, new cool bars or restaurants blahblah. You don't need to market a specific clothing piece or a specific thing. You just have to appeal to their daydreaming and the aesthetic they want. An attractive, employed woman in her mid 20s will want that. And she will have the 30usd (or whatever the price) to get her dopamine rush reading, looking at the pictures, and daydreaming about it while going through the pages, forgetting for a moment the corporate hellhole she has to endure at present time, and dream about what her lifestlye is going to be like either on her next vacation or when she finally starts her own business or earns enough money to buy a new home or whatever the fuck she is daydreaming about. THAT is all what it is about. But you need good design, good writing pieces, and good photography that all hit the same aesthetic - smart, trendy, sexy but not vulgar, slightly hipster and slightly eco-friendly. That's it. I know it would sell. It's just dependant on the scale. The better the people working on it the more you can do with it. If I'm alone...I know what I want, I can do the writing as well...but when you're outsourcing design, photography, production and technical stuff...it gets to be a bit limiting in regard to quality control when you're outsourcing half of the product. But even with that in mind, I am certain I could pull 10k if the marketing is right.

and why can't they get all of these quotes from scrolling through Instagram and Tumblr for free?

Dunno. What's google?

these posts are unreadable. if you cannot grasp how to poast on Jow Forums, how can you hope to establish a profitable enterprise?

>not ging to make it

because instagram is full of worthless shit you have to scroll through to find one good thing. the job of a good magazine is to offer only top quality on each of its pages. to simplify, seeing one page in a good magazine should be equal to scrolling 10 hours through an instagram feed.

but I will let you know another thing, I've always suspected and actually had it confirmed by selling. people feel better when they have to spend for a quality thing rather than getting it for free. the price itself says something about the product's worth. and people like to feel exclusive as well. the feeling of obtaining something of worth and the feeling of exclusivity can only be obtained by paying for a thing. of course you do need an actual quality product for that to work. i am telling you if you have a quality product that at least partially aims at the feelings of exclusivity and are underpricing it, it's actually backfiring on you

I've been thinking as well. i trade market opens and am comfy from it as well as btc here and there but would like something else to do

Sell scrap metal

You could monetize spare compute capacity you have; running a few EDGE hosts will give you around 20$ monthly for each, with the stake being worth around 250$. So thats nearly a 100% ROI annually on your investment. Obviously you won't have unlimited devices, but you can get a batch of raspberri Pis pretty cheap and the investment will pay off in half a year or so. Or you just install the software on PCs in your Uni lol. There's also higher tier nodes which pay up to $5k a month but the stake is pretty heavy, (10k/100k) so those prob won't fit your risk profile.

Except free/significantly cheaper alternatives on the internet have killed:
>Encyclopedias
>Print Journalism
>Cable Television
>Premium Porn
>CDs

Why use Wikipedia for free when you can have the "luxury" and "exclusivity" of paying $1,500 for a copy of Encyclopedia Britannica?

Turn that poetry phrase shit into and app instead that can be shared by like phones touching or qr codes. Also in sure an AI exists online that generates basic birch quotes on a sunset background. Male it hip for iPhone users and chicks who love that shit. Maybe implement a karma points system that makes people want to share the quotes foe doing something 'nice' foe their friend circle.
I just Have this image of roasties and chicks into muh mental illness and solidarity would really getting into that.

Great idea, air bnb has a magazine and it has that nice expensive paper like art magazines. Nice quality with great artwork for the ads

nobody collects encyclopedias as an aesthetic (well I know a few that do but most prefer other books)

journalism is for news not for an aesthetic experience

cable television is for entertainment not for an aesthetic experience. watching television is not a lifestyle statement

premium porn. nobody speaks openly about watching porn.

cds. nobody listens to cds as a lifestyle statement. but that's why some vinyls still sell.

you're not gonna make it.

babbies first adderall

Yeah. You need to get the aesthetic right and the marketing right (I believe it could be started by sending copies to the right instagram influencers). If you hit on those two, I don't see a reason why it wouldn't sell to the smart, trendy, eco-friendly, slightly hipster-ish, semi-affluent crowd. I'd read it myself quite honestly.

Attached: [email protected] (2040x2496, 435K)

Pic related is a good aesthetic but Bill Henson is an art photographer so...the two pictures are almost perfect but 20% too artsy. If you'd use the same visuals but place her in a trendy rooftop bar or at a beach with a sunset and make it 20% more comercially appealing it would be absolutely nailing it. As it is it's just slightly too artsy for what the magazine would need.

The Jewish Stool Of Wealth. It has three legs;

>Collect Interest:
meaning equities, stocks, bonds. get Robinhood or some other broker and start socking money away. you need semi-liquid assets to build the other two legs.

>Collect Rent
buy a place, a condo if a house is too expensive. then buy another one and start being a landlord. you don't actually need to get positive cashflow from a property right off the bat in order to be yielding gains. you just need to cover interest, taxes, and maintenance. real estate has a couple key advantages that being its a good tax shelter and the leverage terms are subsidized for the average joe.

>Collect Valuables
flip shit. what shit? whatever you KNOW. tools, cards, comics, doesn't matter. know where to buy low and where to sell it for a profit. always be on the lookout for something you can flip for a quick come up, you will find that it adds up after a while.

combine these three legs and after a few years you can sit on ass being a lazy jew.

Comic books are the loooooooong game. About one in every 50 is going to be worth more than what you paid for it, and you'll have to keep it in tip top shape for over 30 years to make up from your losses on the other 49 that you bought.

Yeah you def need it to look sleek and bright. That pic is not flattering to her body and skin at all. Maybe the grunge look for a different type of mag or audience. But that lighting is not doing her any favors. The first pool pic was great though. Use purple, teal, and pink now that 80s neon aesthetic is coming back.
Attaching a pic of airbnb. The cover has excellent paper and art.

its an art pic. i like the way she looks and the way she is dressed though. in a different context she would look exactly like what i had in mind. the pool one if it was a little brighter would be excellent as well.

you can try buying altcoins if you didn't do it yet. it looks like a good entry point before the alt season. strong coins like ADA or Aergo may multiply your deposit after a while (requires lots of nerves though)

They do exist, they're called Bitcoin Embassies, and there are quite a few around the world. Here's one in Atlanta:
atlbitcoinembassy.org

Wholesale amazon fba (don't need ads for that). Celsius network app give passive income weekly just for hodling (but you need a lot of money for it to be significant). Crypto.

Real estate (buying an apartment for passive income), but that's an end goal. Obviously too expensive for most people.

That's really it.

You can do some security guard job. They get paid to do nothing all day.

My skills and some ideas I got the last weeks.
>Very good in drawing
>Very good in digital art
>Very good in UI/UX (my main job)
>Very good in sketching, prototyping, etc.
>Very good in photography + good equipment
>Very good in 3DCG
>Good in making digital music
>some savings of around 6.000€
>Good in HTML/CSS
>3 days off per week

I spent my whole youth in learning those things and with my fulltime job I feel like I waste my talent a bit. So I'm planing on doing something on the side. First ideas were simply drawing weird fetish porn graphics and get rich with patreon, unfortunately now that market seems saturated.

Another idea was to build an iOS app. Maybe a very aesthetical game such as Monument Valley. Draw all assets and send it over to some indian developer to program it. But here too.. I feel like it's too late to jump on that train.

I live in an area full of very wealthy people, tourists and beautiful nature. Thought about drawing some beautiful watercolor paintings and exhibit them in cafes, etc. with my website to order prints for like 400€ each. I still like this idea as it's a very old business.. and there seems to be demand. 90% of the artists here are single moms drawing shitty "modern art" paintings without any talent.

I could also use my UI/UX skills to build several UI kits and sell them on the unreal store.. but I doubt that's gonna generate good money.

Or I just enjoy my life and lay back those 3 days off, play video games, travel around, etc. Meh.

If anyone else has ideas how I could combine my skills to generate money on the side, please let me know.

there's none that i can think of. which is precisely why it would work. so far you have many instagram channels that go for that aesthetic of travel/food/artsy(fashion (just check my other posts) that are doing very well. the time to get an actual magazine out dealing with those themes...is now. its going to happen sooner than later, it's only a question of who will pick up the dollars in that market. it will be a combination of vogue, natgeo and whatever travel magazines are out there. check what taschen releases as well (as far as quality and aesthetic not necessarily content).

I'm convinced someone is going to make big money off it within 5 years. Maybe 3. If its not going to be someone new it will just be an existing big player taking it up. Probably what's going to happen anyways. But as long as there is nobody, it'd be easy to get a large share of the market just by social media promotion, like the instagram models who already are popular with that kind of lifestyle promoting it. I've had an idea like that for a watch and KO Watches now did it...although I think they just try to send their shit to every thot which is stupid and reflects poorly on their brand (should have sent it just to those who fit the correct, respectable aesthetic imo). But anyways Im guessing they made a fair bit of money on it. I don't have the know how or the money to make watches, but a magazine should be much easier for anyone to do. I guarantee you in 3-5 years somebody will be making bank off it.

This is unironically a good idea in somewhere like San Fran but also serve food/drinks. Like a cafe. Think Devcon but with developers regularly stopping in and out. Would be a good place that leads to great ideas.

Please elaborate.

Wut. That just proved my point. They can't make rent. From their website;

>We have closed down the office in Midtown and have moved to a mobile model. Rather than servicing Midtown exclusively, we can now be wherever crypto and blockchain knowledge is needed in Atlanta.

>Instagram
They have their own advertising, and aren't going to let you run adsense, or anything. You'll have to sell a product, or something. Your advertising options will be limited.

>Porn website
You won't be able to run adsense on porn websites. I think you can still use amazon affiliates on porn websites, but I'm not sure. Obviously, you an still sell your own products.

why can't you explain it? you're the one trying to refute what i said man, give the knowledge if you got it

Compound interest is grade 6 stuff. Just google it if you genuinely don't know what it is.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest

Nah see, you want me to do google fu to find out shit. You can't share it with your own words, that's wack. If I was in person would you tell me to 'wikipedia' it? Come on. The math you or the other user sent me was lame and you didnt refute this

I gave you a fucking link. Read it, and stop complaining.

>you didn't refute this
Nearly everybody knows what compound interest is. I don't need to "refute" your calculation of simple interest.

You sound like a pussy. Pick something and do it and make it work.

You won't even try, because you are a pussy.

You think 8k in 25 years is good, you said 25 years to make it sound good too and then you link a wiki because you failed to communicate.

You are gay

Try stuff out and see what sticks.
Like making some art and putting it for sale on a website like RedBubble.

Add your own "portfolio" website in the mix where you can showcase more stuff like your music and just see how it goes.
