You missed out on a whole lot but I wouldn't say you can't make money in this market given that the market situation isn't the best I would say to first do some research.
Take time to study the changed sentiment and what is upcoming and things. Personally I see a breakout of ETH as something positive for the alt market and have been putting a lot of money in it. Latest gain was when someone shilled me UDOO. The TA looks good and there are rumors about a telecom company partnering with them.
