Nice OP
>side business
Careful, google has clauses in their contracts about your side projects you create while working with them. Even if you’re not using stuff you learned on the job you still might have to deal with their legal team.
FAANG is ruthless.

Good job tho OP

Do I have to go to Switzerland for these numbers?

Yeah I'm not sure how to go about that at this point. I'm not technically a competitor, but a supplement to their cloud offerings. This wouldn't fly if I went out with it now. I may have to quit at some point to risk it unless good promos happen. I'd prefer to stay in FAANG during the coming downturn tho so it's still years away.

And yes, everyone in IT should quit jerking off and leetcode to get into FAANG because it is pretty comfy from all the angles

Yes user, that or some hedge funds in UK, otherwise you'd have to be really senior to get that in FB/G London. Unless you're a brit already I'd not even look that way, let them destroy GBP further and see what happens.

Thanks user and grats on the job. Next year I'll also man up and move hopefully.

>200k in Europe
>for a software developer
I don't believe you.
I know a google dev and he makes ~$85k in Switzerland.
Dev salaries in Europe are much, much lower than in the US.

Good luck user! I have some friends at google and FB they all say it’s amazing. I’m in CivE so I won’t know that feel tho.

What are your qualifications? How hard was it to get in? Is it even possible when you just completed a bachelor's in CS (good grades, good uni) and have no further qualifications?

After taxes maybe or at entry level. The average SE salary in Switzerland is about $85k or more and google usually pays way above average. Just look up the salaries on glassdoor.

>Yeah I'm not sure how to go about that at this point. I'm not technically a competitor, but a supplement to their cloud offerings

check your contract because i'm pretty sure these companies say everything you make whilst working for them belongs to (((them))).
