Literally who
Why do they even bother with all these who's

kek I remember aelf being shilled here, what a fucking shitshow that was

aelf is rank 91 on cmc

Chainlink doesn't have partners, it has users.

Just like legitimate companies and scams both use the internet. It doesn't matter who, Chainlink will supply decentralized oracles to all.

Alf shit he's back

Based, I was going to post something like that but you took the words out of my mouth user! THEY COME TO CHAINLINK NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, THEY WILL BEND THE KNEE

This is on the same tier as REQ partnering early on with Bee Token, lmao./

Where are the users? Why does it take so long to develop an API middleware?

maybe you should go and beat them to it

It's a rhetorical question.

Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time to traverse the sybil chasm.
Oracle and startups are on the way. More and more teams join by the week.
Give me a better decentralized oracle network to invest in and I will. Too bad there isn't. Link is industry standard for now.

And
>inb4 x tech giant will just come along and build their own decentralized oracle

Building a truly decentralized network takes A LOT of time, regardless of the resources you have at hand. Pic related sums it up very well.
Facebook didn't build their own browser, internet, etc. Why would they build their own oracle for Libra?

where's this image from?

reddit spacing is hideous, i can't even read that.

Twitter

Not sure where the graph itself is found. But its from crypto twitter, where most of the oldfag linkemarines moved onto.

link to said twitter?

this is the tweet twitter.com/CryptoSpong3/status/1167837222315294720

Ok, what's the stumbling block then?

So there's literally nodes running, just ready for jobs?
Holy shit. Demonstrating reliability and uptime.
Are they ready? Why aren't any of the partners and customers and other projects announced using it yet?
They must be waiting for something else to happen. Some kind of important announcement to launch the kick-off?

How long has it been since mainnet launched?

Holy fuck they are working on service agreement stuff again. Check pivotal unironically

How new are you?

How new are you? Go back in the archives. Mainnet launched in May. The progress has been staggering considering how slow 2018 was. Threshold sigs are ready. The team is growing. Staking will likely come in 2020.

Pic related It's all about traversing the sybil problem. It's why they started with KYC nodes only.
You also have to consider the fact that we are early. Smart contract adoption will come sooner than fudders on Jow Forums say, but there is still some time to wait.

I only saw word salad in that picture. If they solved the sybil problem, why is there nothing on ArXiv? I'm sure actual CS PhD and researchers worldwide would like to know how this breakthrough came about. In a "decentralized" and "open" architecture, it would be key for trust in the system.

Thank you.
Not new, just haven't been watching closely enough to see the pieces coming together.

Cause they don't care for decentralization, not that Chainlink is decentralized or even usable at the moment.

If you can't understand what's being said in that pic, you can't understand chainlink. Reread it and DYOR.

You cannot code decentralization. BTC wasn't decentralized when it first came out either. It takes time to establish a network.

>If you could (hypothetically) launch a perfectly coded, perfectly transparent, perfectly decentralized oracle network right now you would still lose to chainlink. An oracle network must first have the buy in (and implicit pledge to perform) of those agencies with the most real world trust (SWIFT, Google, Oracle, et al).

This is arguably the most important sentence in that pic. Consider it.

except that time when chainlink announced a partnership with MOAB...

Moab partnership is the best one. Big things coming soon

Whatever you say, redditor. Out of curiosity how many years do you reckon it would take for the team to actually release a working mainnet?

Mainnet is out, now we need players

Threshold sigs are already literally done. Mixicles are done as well.
The only major parts left are staking and reputation. But at this rate, I would suspect both sometime by 2020. They have sped up development a thousandfold compared to 2018. The team is only growing. In any case, every new release has been smooth. Only a pajeet team would've rushed out a full mainnet, only to have it unusable due to thousands of bugs. Slow and steady wins the race.

Singularity is approaching.

Are you unaware of what Chainlink is and think that it can work without staking or are you just shilling for your discord tranny buddies? Which one is it, redditor?
