Reposting Alright so at my age should I even be fuckin' with bonds in my 401k? (25) currently playing loosey goosey like this 40 percent large cap (VITSX) 30 percent mid cap (FSMAX) 20 percent intl (FSPSX) 10 percent small cap (HSRUX) Thoughts?
They're worth paying attention to, even if you're not "listening" to them.
Every time cramer says we ARE oversold/undersold, he's turned out to be right. He pays for some indicator he calls an S&P oscillator, that has never* been wrong.
But sometimes he's totally, absolutely, 100% wrong. Which is how I lost so much money on CGC. Though maybe that'll pan out well one day. KSS ended up nicely, though it took longer than I had hoped. However, that did not involve him saying the market was oversold, only that he "thought" KSS had bottomed.
REEEEEEE CRAMER'S TALKING BOUT MUH MERCK!!! MY CONNECTION IS SPAZZING OUUTTTT!!!!

How do puts work?
I understand calls, but puts just dont make sense.
On robinhood for a sell call I need to own stock. I pick the strike price and premium which may or may not be bought. The buyer can exercise the call whenever said buyer desires so long as its within timeline for option.
Puts dont make sense. Does the buyer or seller need to own shares when making the option?
Caleb Campbell
TLRD earnings the 11th... Same potential play
Adam Hill
Is GME gonna drop more tomorrow?
Cameron Miller
Shit idk, we just use options to gamble 'round these parts.
> I understand calls >The buyer can exercise the call whenever said buyer desires so long as its within timeline for option. So you don't understand calls. Nobody actually needs to own stocks to write a call, they just have to have a high options level margin account with a decent broker. But with puts the writer is promising to buy the stock, the buyer could hypothetically own the stock and sell his own stock but usually neither owns the stock, it is simply purchased and resold at the last minute to complete the contract.

Fuck, I laughed too hard and choked on my lasagna.

Wow... Cramer using the COT to evaluate gold on today's "off the charts" (well, he's using the Carley Garner's charts)
There's only ONE stock trader I know of who uses the COT to trade stocks.
Unless we're ready for a recession, rocks have probably finished their run. Now I gotta decide if I want to sell Barrick at a loss...
Pic related. Should i sell? Lol jk im stubborn ill likely hold onto these bags long term. Ignore avg price its incorrect, should be in the $15 range.
Angel Perry
It makes no sense that any pet company could have a market cap that high. Way overbought
Nicholas Young
See how fucked I am tomorrow, bought Nov and Jan calls. Both within the range of what this has traded at prior to today. Might hedge Puts depending on tomorrows open. Seems this was all a knee jerk sell off by the algo's.
Aaron Collins
what are you talking about? Merck?
200 shares of Barrick?! That's a huge gamble on shiny rocks after a huge run.
Then again, I'm not much better for going after the "defensives" right now.
I try not to fuck around with options. I think this rotation is silly, but it could continue. I wouldn't give up on Merck, Trump is already claiming victory on drug prices though nothing has happened. However, the debate is coming up...

If you write a put you have to have enough cash to buy the stocks at the strike - and this gets locked up until expiry. To buy a put you simply buy it and if you actually hold to the expiry RH unloads it at the end of the day it expires to someone who'll actually do the buying and selling of the underlying stocks and gives you the cash, unless you hold the shares and you direct them to simply sell the shares you have.
Easton Thompson
Why? What exactly is it that's going wrong with ACB? Some (intentional?) retard is going around saying that they're going to fall because of negative EPS. That's completely pants on head retarded, as almost none of dude weed lmao profits right now. If they hit the expected -0.04 everything should be fine, especially if they have any spicy news to drop.
Hate to burst your bubble, but I've been making some pretty big extra payments lately... Don't think the quarter's results will look so hot.
Oliver Bailey
s-stop, just pay on time. In fact just try to negotiate your mortgage so it's 20 years longer and your payments are halved.
Adam Allen
Are there any dudeweed stocks that aren't involved in production? Like ones that just do retail and sales, I don't think these production companies are going to be doing too good in the long run.
Isaac Reyes
Gnln, check it out. Fucking steal right now.
Charles Gonzalez
Help me anons what are the safest stocks for short term gain 5-6 months? I found out i can self direct my investment benefits account from work. Catch is all positions are liquidated and cash given to you when you stop working and I'm planning on leaving in about 6 months to move out of state. I bought SNSS and TEVA because you guys shilled it but all of my attention has been given to crypto...didnt expect to have access to these funds desu. You think AMD will go much higher than $34 short term? I sold at that price but havent bothered to buy back in. I just need to make enough to stop wageslaving for a a couple of months until I find a new job
KAYS does both. Their problem is that they were a publicly traded company with medical dispensaries operating only in Oregon. When shit went legal there was a complete glut of weed and every 20 something with 5k in savings and a weed habit started their own dispensary. Hopefully they'll come out on top, but I haven't seen any news of them buying up the shops that are going under so they may not have any cash or desire to grow.
Elijah Myers
wow -82% since ipo there is a class action lawsuit against them
Dylan Ross
Beased Gram. I'm enjoying it, but I wish I'd bought more of the dip. Simultaneously, I need less positions, so this one may have to go. Or GEO.
This is a really good Phoenix Powell.
Kevin Johnson
Eh, just go 2x long on the S&P. 3000+ is happening again before end of year.
Carter Torres
>buying TEVA I specifically said to do the opposite of that.
I wish there was something like MedMen that's publically traded. Something with a brand name and infrastructure. I don't know that much about the dudeweed world, but everything I hear about the larger growing companies, anecdotally, is just absolute shit. Plus who the fuck wants to invest in commodites, even if it is weed. I think the real money is going to be in companies that can create a brand name, like Miller or Bud Light. There will be more opportunities user! Remember just buy a little bit every time and you'll almost never feel bad later.
Logan Lewis
I dunno how you can watch these trading tv shows. I find them incredibly distracting. If my analysis contradicts their's I start to second guess a little and the whole works gets hairy. No good.
Yuuuuuuuup, IPO’d worse time possible. Lawsuit seems kinda dumb but i cant find much on it, i dont think one has even started yet just some firm looking into it. Look how much money they are bringing in/sitting on...They have their marketcap in cash alone. Everyone is just forgetting about it. They are supplying every shop out there, juul concerns are probably weghing them down too, they arent going out of business and useless news is mostly whats bogging it down. As far as i can tell the business is doing everything expected of it. Not sure whats going on with price Probably jews
Actually strike that, all these dudeweed companies look like dog shit to me. I wish there was a decent ETF so I wouldn't have to spend so much time being dissapointed. YOLO and MJ are also dog shit.
Jeremiah Price
>I wish there was something like MedMen that's publically traded
Medmen is publicly traded. OTC only for US, mind you. Their chart looks bad but it could reverse like the rest of the dude weed has been doing lately.
I'll have to look more into it. I'm not too fond of paying commissions, but I do want an actual holding in dudeweed. Why can't robinhood let us retards buy OTC.
Kayden Jenkins
Some of the new tripfags are annoying. Am I just getting old?
Nicholas Moore
>Plus who the fuck wants to invest in commodites, even if it is weed. I think the real money is going to be in companies that can create a brand name, like Miller or Bud Light. This is why CGC is the right call. They have brands they're developing with Snoop Dogg, Martha Stuart and Seth Rogan. Along with that they're making CBD dog food and other shit and it's CGC branded. Along with that they have the Constellations brand distribution network for whenever we're able to legalize here in the US, plus if that happens anytime soon the Acreage Holdings deal is going to give them massive US production capabilities. I think they're the winning ticket at this point, but it's going to take some patience.
Aaron Butler
They're not a pet company. They'll an animal health company and that extends into farming.
Xavier Fisher
in all honesty I haven't paid much attention to dudeweed stocks, just saw a lot of the back and forth about ACB in the last bread and it got me curious.
kek I was going buy Teva puts two days ago and got distracted and never got around to it thank God.
Daniel Brooks
What new tripfags? We just have cod of galls. Everyone else has been here a while.
CGC and GNLN are the best cause no one has the distribution reach of gnln and no one has production like CGC. Seems like people forgot what companies finacials look like in budding industries.
Brandon Cox
>budding industries.
I see what you did there
Thomas Flores
Sounds like you may be interested in a brand name that has investments in the 420BLAZEIT space something like Constellation Brands or Altria then.
I'm too stupid and ill-informed and lack the resources and experience to invest in a company without knowing it's a scam or a moment away from falling apart.
Some of these shills have good insight and experience. There are too many GE's laying in wait, ready to fall hard. These folks may catch something I miss, or at least can clue me in to things in the market I may be missing.

The prospect of US federal legalization is the reason I want the election to *seem* as competitive as possible. The dems need not win and, frankly, I would prefer they didn't. However, I need it to appear to investors that a dem winning could happen. If it feels like it could happen, that will drive speculation buying in the dude weed.
There is also that pesky banking bill collecting mold somewhere in the house process. It has some bipartisan support.
Yup. I'm betting weed stocks are going to be better than gun stocks were last time around, just make sure to sell the day before the election.
Gnln is the next lci, dude weed industry brought it down right after it ipos. >Analysts have had it set as a buy since day 1 >Company ipos at peak dude weed so getting knocked down >Jews jew the stock to the point lawfirm is interested in class action. >tens of millions of cash on hand >gnln only touches 100% legal smoking accessories >when dude weed is 100% legal they will already be positioned for distribution to every smoke shop >regardless of legalization gnln will continue to rake in dough from every smoke shop in the country, already supplying over 11,000 stores.
GLNL is the next NAKD, I'm steering clear of any company who is late to report earnings
Camden Taylor
Ignore, there is an earnings report but Robinhood hasn't stated EPS on their page

>sold my LCI 4 months ago whatever, it still hasn't returned to when big nigger started shilling it at $15
Colton Gomez
also, LCI lawsuit payout is only $300,000, is it even worth the time to do the paperwork?

Hey laddies, been waging hard recently and haven't been around much, but wanted to share my thoughts on upcoming earnings. Let me know if you agree/disagree:
-ACB: had a little bump recently since it sold off some assets, but I still think pot stonks aren't quite ready for prime time. Don't expect EPS to be positive and I expect in-line at best, but probably a miss. No position. -KR: this one's had a nice run over the past month. I'm long this stock and I'm long going into earnings. PT of $28-$28.50. -AVGO: really strong stock that hasn't seemed too hurt by tariffs/trade war stuff, I assume due to upcoming 5G rollouts. I expect a beat and possibly a guidance raise. No position but I'm considering maybe getting an ITM call spread with a month or two from now exp (especially if the stock dips before earnings and premiums come down) ORCL: tough call here. Kind of a legacy co like IBM and still very much embedded in many many large corporations around the world but aren't all that sexy. Pretty neutral on this and no position. If I had to guess I'd say in-line all around.
I bought a few weeks ago with RH thanks to the anons here and Im up 11.11% as of today. Of course I only bought 8 shares because thats all I could afford so I wasnt too worried of dicking around. Now I have access to $10k so Im much more concerned about making the right choices so I dont get rekt and lose it all Im new to all this and I still dont understand how to margin. All Ive done is buy a dozen AMD last year for $13 and sell for $34
I enjoy popping in from time to time for that exact reason. I'll get bored of being annoying, take a break, come back a few months later and annoy everyone all over again.
>ACB >pot stonks aren't quite ready for prime time Seconded. I'll watchlist it, but I'd rather wait until US legalization starts up in the news.
Connor Harris
Not sure what the reason is, but dividend funds are fucking on fire this week. My SPYD, SPHD, and DIV are up big even intraday when the broader market is down. I can only figure that a few big holdings, like AT&T, are driving it up. Something also tells me that a flight from bond-yield hungry fags could be injecting big money into these equity yielding ETFs. DIV in particular has been such a huge piece of shit for me this whole year but the last week or so it's just up and up.
I've never submitted an options trade overnight ( like to wait until thigns settle down an hour after open), but as of right now GME will open @ $3.43.....is submitting orders for 3.50 puts free money if they get filled first thing in the morning? They're still cheap from GME closing in the black.
Caleb Peterson
it's headline news this whole week since monday... take your pick
you don't have enough understanding to successfully trade options just put the orders in and see what happens
Ayden Torres
Trading options without 110% understanding them is dangerous
Bentley Howard
I started with $150 a little over a week ago. Did my research before I started and now just trying to learn as I go (no substitute for experience).
Just never submitted an order after close. It'd be a new experience. I kept the buy small, if it blows up in my face I'm out $30 if it even gets filled.
>they’re figuring out we’re not getting a recession >they think we are getting a trade deal soon >I’m deep red and misallocated and the market isn’t nearly fearful enough What do you guys do, just take losses? Get out of my momentum names and heavy into value until I can make up some of these losses?
Ugh, fuck that. I think I need to stop watching and buying stocks for a while.
