I have a million dollar idea

I want to take an existing product, but modify it in a unique way. Nobody has ever thought of it, because it only addresses a specific need.

one thing is sure, mouse traps never go out of fashion. also, cleaner than poison which can contaminate animals who eat that poisoned corpse.

How do you know nobody has thought of it? It could be a shit idea that has already been tried before and failed so you never heard of it.

Because it's a brand new phenomena. It never existed in the past but it is running rampant now. My idea is something that people well white people would pay a premium for. That's why I said it's a new idea it's never been thought of before.

So what exactly is the point of this thread?

I just want to know how I should. How do I get my idea out there without giving up my idea? If I tell somebody what it is then they know.

You should start by getting a patent

You take a survey with a sample of your target customer base (white people). Something short and simple but that gives you all the information you need, so like 10-30 questions. You could ask “which of the following 4 products they’d be most likely to use in deterring theft” and include your idea in it. Just a heads up on something I thought up while typing this, think about something more along the lines of the ink bombs banks use for robberies. Youcould probably rig a wallet type of option that sprays pepper spray if it’s forcibly opened or some shit

You should have opened with this.

You'll get the idea stolen anyway, patents can only protect it so much and they make the design public by default, which is free real estate for the chinks.

Unless you already have boats of cash to push it hard into the market and make a brand for yourself there's not that much you can do.
