Work environment at Harmony is extreme. Something like 9AM to 9PM for 6- or 7-days a week. For those that want to balance work-life balance, it’s just not possible.
For these engineers, who already are relatively wealthy like in Alok’s case, it’s a personal decision and that’s that. The team just onboarded a few new people full-time, so this is all just optics and ‘looks’ worse than it is.
Also ‘co-founder’ is given more importance than it actually is — what’s more important is CEO, CTO, etc... ‘co-founder’ is mostly just recognition of status, and does not come with more responsibilities necessarily.
