Chainlink reviewed node operators are about to see their jobs increased by 7 thanks to these 7 new crypto price reference data sets (apart from the already existing ETH / USD). That's what the community know as the "heartbeat".
They will release more details about this in a blog post before Devcon (8 October). Chainlink is stealthily becoming the leading crypto price provider since they are about to literally provide the main crypto prices for FREE, thus annihilating the competition.
If you are a business that uses the (paid) services of a centralized Oracle (with the disadvantages that this entails) and suddenly you see that you can take advantage of the data that Chainlink provides for free through its refence data contract service, you will obviously stop paying your centralized Oracle provider. Stop reading and let me give you some hopium user. Browse the following link for a moment:
Not worth posting hopium friend. Let nulinkers and redditors sell. Most of us on this board hold link. If you are trying to have an actual discussion about link Jow Forums is no longer the place to do it. Its all FUD and shitposts. Also fuck jannies.

Yes very
Luke Wood
No, we want to see real business using Link such as the banking sector. That’s the real reason we are here and invested in Link, we don’t amateur shit such as crypto literal whos.
Thanks for the honest advice, I just wanted to bring some old comfy LINK thread back to life. When I saw that the ETH ropsten jobs page was updated it seemed like a nice opportunity to try it
FFS haven't all major coins/tokens been manipulated by whales at some point? This same "study" analyzing BTC or ETH would draw the same conclusions, no?
Are you implying there's a correlation between the speculative price movement and the project/product they're developing? Why would it matter?
Jason Hughes
Yes they would its just fud for retards

Bitcoin
Date: 1 April - 26 July Price: $4,155 - $13,419 (322% increase) Volume: $73BN - $238BN = PUMP
XRP pumped 7.7 Billion dollars between April 1st and June 26th, and since then dumped 9.7 Billion dollars, ending up lower than when it started the "pump" on the first of April.
>Good that someone is finally posting about aggregation, just a few more steps and we have the worlds first truly decentralized oracle network. This.
Also it's really sad to see how this thread is being overrun by bots from damage control coordinated groups. Price and positive news are definitely being suppresed by evildoers out there. If you are a person genuinely browsing this thread and want to know about LINK, just DYOR and don't let other's sentiment manipulate you
Easton Richardson
Pretty obvious what they're doing if you've fucked around with defi at all. The only people that need oracles RIGHT NOW are products like NUO, BZX, Maker, etc. They don't need data from everything in the world, just crypto price feeds. Defaggots get to be the guinea pigs and will get rekt, but they're paving the way for link to move on to the real world.
Most 2017 holders already sold LINK. Nobody is so retarded to not sold a 15x return in a bear market.
> Me included
Connor Walker
That's some pretty creative cope you've come up with there buddy. It's a shame that google shows what a massive pump and dump scam this is. You tired of Sergey dumping 700k on you yet?
I dont get this stupid miltiary roger dodger ovr meme
Owen Morales
It's a bot created to reach the bump limit in threads that threat the artificial negative sentiment they have created in Jow Forums towards Chainlink. They are deployed by coordinated groups (mainly discord trannies)
Sebastian Thomas
Can chainlink prevent this attack vector? Attacker is seeing the the price feed update in the mempool before it updates the trade price onchain. Centralized oracle isn’t the problem, it’s the lag on ethereum that is causing the problem
Brandon Gray
Remember my offer of one hundred Zuck Bucks and several internets to the user who helps chainlink succeed by any means necessary
Check that comment. The attack was executed thanks to the fact that the hacker gained control over their centralized oracle
Cameron Morales
Right well it might be in our interest that a dapp breaks which has been openly dismissive of the need for something like chainlink. Makerdao?
Jason Gomez
TITTIES HAHA YESSSS
Luis Robinson
No the attacker exploited the lag between price update in the mempool and the next propagated block. He increases gas to frontrun the price update. Had nothing to do with personal control over the oracle
>Had nothing to do with personal control over the oracle blog.synthetix.io/response-to-oracle-incident/ >We are very conscious of the challenges in using oracles for price feeds and we will continue to improve this and all other aspects of the Synthetix system. Chainlink is a key partner in our move towards a more robust and decentralised oracle, and we look forward to working closely with their team to improve our Oracle.
It’s true that the incident that broke Synthetix was due to oracle centralization issues, but the person who exploited the failure has been continuously operating a bot to generate risk free returns even when the oracles are working properly. This shouldn’t be possible and chainlink should address that attack vector if it is to offer a sustainable improvement over the existing oracle. It needs to prevent frontrunning
Sebastian Myers
>Chainlink needs to prevent frontrunning hmm chain.link/mixicles.pdf >decrypt.co/9037/chainlink-ceo-sergey-nazarov-mixicles-smart-contract-defi-privacy >Privacy is crucial for enterprise, and can be a legal obligation for many types of contracts. Aside from the various obligations that enterprises may have to keep contracts private, Nazarov explained that the tool helps to guard against frontrunning. This is where unscrupulous parties take advantage of their responsibility to order transactions so that they can profit from them, and is one of the most basic reasons for privacy in financial contracts. >Nazarov explained that the tool helps to guard against frontrunning
no im not, ive been waiting for so long that ill probably kill myself before ANY of this has an effect on price
Nathan Thompson
That's good, Hell needs poor faggots too.
Benjamin James
kek Chainlink IS a centralized oracle. You retards might not realize that but any dev competent enough to make a dapp is staying the fuck away from using Chainlink (unless it's to make some fake partnership announcement for clout)
Jose Fisher
These fucking niggers are literally miles ahead of the whole space They spend the usd equivalent of 200k with a 300mm warchest to fucking murder their competitors babies and salt their land Sergey is still a fucking firstmark killer And hes convinced everyone hes a nice guy
If it's free then who is paying the nodes grabbing the data?
Dominic Morales
The team from their link that they allocated from the start for this exact purpose
I really hope someone from cl reads these shitty threads Some of us get what youre doing
This kind of slaughter used to be the kind of thing that had value equivalent to the resuktant foresight Think the first armies with muskets against spears and arrows This is the business equivalent of a merciless genocide The golden child of decentralized trust raised in vc culture pairs up with the brains behind the first actually useful high iq decentralized network
If you dont get it just shut the fuck up and watch
Dominic Cook
>no BSV/USD pair feeling flacid
Robert Powell
Chainlink is dead after the sergey dump user, we all have moved on to udoo
Huh, learn something every day. Decred just released their prospectus for their new DEX about a month ago and made a point of bundling transactions in epochs to avoid frontrunning. That was the first I was aware of it, but no great surprise that Ari and friends were already grappling with it months ago.
NOT ONLY DID THEY UNDERSTAND THE RISKS OF THIER SHITSTREAM COMPETITIORS BUT THEY ALSO SPENT THEIR MOTHERFUCKING FREE TIME COLLECTING DATA ON THEIR FUCKUPS BECAUSE THEY ALREADY KNEW THEY WON
SO WHY NOT GET AN EASY PUBLICATION OFF IT TOO COS EVERYONE KNOWS ONCE IT HITS PUBMED ITS USELESS SO THEY DID IT TO SHOW THAT THEY SOLVED THE TRILLION DOLLAR PROBLEM AND ARE KINDA BORED WHILE THE REST OF THE WORLD CATCHES UP
THEY PUBLISHED THIS SHIT IN MOTHERTITTYNIGGERKIKEASSHOLEWOPFUCKYOU APRIL 2019 BEFORE IT EVEN HAPPENED YOU ASS SLURPING REATRDS
Im a retarded brainlet but this is good news I suppose so im buying 100 links

This. They don't have any competitor thus far. They are eons ahead of any potential competitor
Logan Lewis
Stylin on everyone and everything. Fix literal billion dollar flaws. Price goes down. Only "news" that gets picked up is some Chinks made 100k off the Google pump aka "worst pnd scam of all time".
incorrect. They are in the centralized oracles space (their oracles are not decentralized). There's already way better options for centralized oracles than Chainlink.
You need to understand that the end user of Chainlink are developers. We understand the tech. We know that Chainlink is not decentralized. Memes and "partnerships" is not gonna make us use centralized oracles for our products.
Chainlink are years away (if ever) from being decentralized. Chances are they will be the last, not the first to do decentralized oracles.
Ryan Jones
You just win.
Landon Ward
Checked. Development will increase exponentially as will nodes coming online etc.
>Our current best threshold signature scheme (described in this post) requires about 15k gas to confirm[7]. This means, for instance, that the $3,000 data point I mentioned earlier would only cost about $2, a 1,500-fold savings (and at current gas/ETH prices, the cost would be a bit over one cent, vs about $17 for validation of a 2,000-strong quorum, using the current framework.)
The user you are replying to is right. An implementation of threshold signatures would save 90% of the gas costs associated with the heartbeat
Brayden Thomas
good post. dont let trannies and fudders stop us from spreading crumbs
Easton Bailey
link holders, as payments are increasing the circulating supply.
Lucas Hughes
Lol, i like this thought. How long until the legacy genocide?
William Ross
The "legacy" is the free makerdao feed lol
Jose Robinson
There is 300 million LINK allocated for that purpose
