How cucked would it be to go back and do university at 24?
Any success stories on Jow Forums of people doing this?

Depends on the degree and the college
It's probably a good idea if you're considering something lucrative. You're hopefully mature enough by now to not fuck up colossally or pick something retarded. Go to a public college though. What program(s) are you interested in?
you'll be viewed as a cringelord by your younger peers especially if you're an incel
if that doesn't bother you go ahead
there are anons who went 23-25
think of all the young orifices, education is secondary
I'm same age and same boat as you OP. Fell for the "do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life meme".
Turns out all work fucking sucks, the only difference is how much you get paid and how many people's asses you have to lick clean.
I was thinking to study either software engineering or finance
I don't really look any different than I did when I was around 20 or so, how would they even know? I thought there was always older people in University.
>caring about what a bunch of 19 year old zoomers think of you
That would probably be the most beta mindset imaginable. You aren't there to chill with them and buy them beer
>haha yeah bro just ignore everyone in your classes and around you for 4 years
some do have the willpower for this but they are a tiny few, most are affected
There are older people in university and no one gives a shit. If you're interested i software try to teach yourself some shit and then apply for Lambda school if it feels like somethingyou want to pursue.
I want to get an actual degree not some scam "bootcamp"
I went when I was 25.
Make sure you fuck young bitches.
Lambda School is a 9 month program that helps with job placement and you don't pay until they get you a job. University is way more of a scam unless you go to a local state school and even then it takes longer and you're forced to take a bunch of bullshit gen ed globalhomo propaganda courses
I live in Canada it's not nearly as much of a jewish scam.
Also I've been reading that these schools are usually fairly sketchy and not recommended, lots of negative anecdotal reviews on them.
I should elaborate that since you don't pay until you get a job they are incentivized to actually teach you since they are investing time and money into you. They don't just accept anyone either it's competitive to get in which is why you need to teach yourself a bit first.
If you aren't getting scammed in university as much as burgers do then go for it. It's not cucked at all, you're old enough now to not fuck up in the way that many 18 year old freshmen fuck up.
Yes, even in your early 30s it's fine as long as you have a plan.
>being this insecure
Literally noone care unless you are 40 or something.
I had a buddy who was 27 when he began med school, if anything he was having a lot more action with chicks.
College is different from high school bro. There isn't really any bullying outside of frat and sport hazing, especially if you aren't living in campus.
I did. It wasn't so bad considering I never progressed past 20.
for MD or JD or RN its worth it else teach yourself
Here in Europe there are plenty of older ppl at University
Might be different in the USA
Nah, it's not uncommon around here. In my country it's kinda seen as cucked to go before you turn 20. One of my siblings started at age 20, the other at age 24 and I plan to start when I'm around 21 or 22.
Wagecucking for a couple of years before deciding on what you want to major in and work with for the rest of your life isn't a bad thing.
Shut the fuck up scam shiller
I went to university at 25 and it worked out pretty good for me.
What did you study?
I'm back in uni to for a 2 year course to make 15-20k more a year at work.
If not to upgrade your job, do it for the wealth of available pussy.
this, had a guy in his late 40s on our business degree (3 years) because he wanted to run his own company immediately after. he then did
I should mention I'm 33
graduated with a 4 year comp sci degree when i was 26. 31 now, making 1.5-2x what most of my high school friends are making despite graduating way later. it's worth it if you're not a brainlet, might feel like a loser while you're in school but as soon as you're out nobody will remember/care you were a late bloomer.
And employers don't judge you for it?
I'm depressed over th fact I'm on tract to graduate at age 25 (24 now). By your age, if I don't retire and get lucky with investments, I'll kill myself.
I feel discouraged when I see younger ppl than me have their shit together and all I have is a useless associate's degree (and I had to start the bachelors from scratch since this shit associates couldn't help me turn it into a bachelors). Just making 14.25 now.. I wanted to be making like 18 an hr at least... (ironically what my first job paid, but it was a temp job).
>by your age
Lol... idk why I thought you were 26 for a second. Anyways, if you're like me, it's gonna feel like shit. Especially the beginning when you're starting from scratch while others have kids and homes by that age.
>tfw graduated engineering when I was 24
>Full time since
>Work is a joke now, so easy, desk work, helping boomers with office, shit posting on Biz
Still dont get the whole college is bad and working is for cucks meme.. Id rope myself unironically if I had nothing else going for me
>I live in Canada it's not nearly as much of a jewish scam.
LOL
t. leaf
Not him, but curious, why do you say it's a scam?
No nine month college is gonna give you shit for a job unless you wanna be a welder or a truck driver. And when you do pay for it, it'll be a fortune you'll pay off for the rest of your life
personally in the same shoes as well
yes you're late
yes it's cucked
but 8 years from now you'd have a compsci degree and 4-5 years of working experience, which tends to be enough for a lead role if you're good.
That's a solid >80k-100k job at 32y.o
If you were to stay where you are now would you be able to achieve the same at 32?
I was 24 when i started at Uni.. I'm introvert so it may be that, but i definitely thinks that the age different also played a part in why i wasn't able to make any friends.
Not because i would stand out or that i was noticeable older, but because i had problems relating to them.
I learned a lot in uni, graduated earlier this year and has been looking for job since then (haven't been invited to a job interview yet - which bothers me). But i honestly do regret going to uni, i am about to turn 30 and i have no money apart from 5K in crypto. I have spend the last 6 years in some variation of social isolation, spending New Years eve alone and sitting alone every Friday. Litterally the only human contact i had apart from mandatory group work at Uni, was when i visited my parents on Sundays and had dinner with them..
I don't think this has been good to me.. only +1000 $ link could make this worth (i probably would never have came on Jow Forums if i had friends, and therefor never would have invested in crypto).
>either software engineering or finance
I'll tell you something you fucking loser:
Software Engineering isn't a fucking degree, even though they make you believe it is. Fucking study Computer Science or stay at your shit job where you are right now
t.started comp sci. degree with nearly 24
You better get you shit together soon retard
With no social skills it will be hard to convince in this interview unless you aren't extremly smart
Go out and live your life
Why isn't software engineering a degree?
>Still dont get the whole college is bad and working is for cucks meme
If 8 out of every 10 people were wasting money on something in an institution, that would be a good reason to call the institution a circus run by and participated by clowns.
Most people in college don't have working brain cells and couldn't do an engineering degree.
31. Going back next year for my master. Don't sweat it unless you're and incel.
it's oriented towards practical work like building software and applications, things like that don't need degrees, you learn those by building stuff yourself
degrees should be more about theory, like how does a computer work, how do operating systems work, what happens behind a programming language, with some math courses along the way
...
Compare the classes you have and you will see that Software Engineering is utterly bullshit and for brainlets. You lose against every single comp. sci student
>how cucked
Licking ur wife’s pussy after Tyrone ejaculates in there cucked
Based opinion
OP, you'll have it ez for prime 18-19 yr old college pussy if you don't look and act like a troll.
Girls always want to date older, and you'll be in their classes and hopefully have enough real life experience talking with adults that you'll be having them dripping.
Also your brain is done developing so it should be as easy as it will ever get...
You wouldn't even stand out dude. The profs are old so everyone just looks young to them. You wouldn't really look different than the other students, except save a few. It's not a big deal at all, but you'll only truly realize this once you start. So just do it. Better late than never.
it's about as dumb to do it at any age. your still just getting into debt for jobs that dont exist.
better debt than never.
Not a big deal at all. I'm currently 23 and next semester I'm going into my junior year. Most zoomers think you're their age as well, but desu fuck what others think and just do you.
I'm a leaf so it's like 40k for an engineering degree. guess i forgot america is cucked
that's the boomer that tried to talk to me in class again
>laughinggirls.jpg
i paid $50k for mine, including rent and expenses, including the fact that I was a dumbass and took 6 years to graduate
tuition is in that ballpark for most american universities. only if you go out of state or a top school is it going to be much more.
You’ll maybe be noticeably older in the freshman level classes, but a 20 vs a 25 year old is kind of hard to differentiate. The Freshmen look young, but everyone else is hard to tell apart in my experience.
And even if they can, who cares? Go to school, work hard, get a good degree, and drastically raise your potential for income. Don’t ruin your opportunity because you feel too old, makes literally no sense.
Here’s something you can do if you’re insecure: actually try and guess people’s ages. It’s harder than you think, sometimes the fresh faced baby faced freshmen are easy to pick out, but everyone else tends to blend together. I had a guy who was 25 in my freshman chem lab, the only reason I knew was because he said something about it. Guess what my reaction was? I didn’t give a fuck.
MechE?
>tfw trying to go back to college at 29
>I have to work full time and have other responsibilities so I can only take 1-2 classes per term
>that means it'll take me like 7 years to finish the bachelor's in comp sci
I'm going back because I need to make $100k/yr. I make $20.60/hr right now and it just isn't enough.
You fucking retard, you have no idea how Lambda School works. You only pay a portion of your salary for like 5 years, and it caps out at $20k. It's not a fucking scam.
>muh no jobs
retard
user, I had to wait until I was 24 to start going to school. I think you're retarded for trying to become a code monkey in 2019 (It's basically the new psychology degree because there are so many people in school right now for comp sci/etc). I think you're even more of a brainlet for going to school for finance, I know you're not a Chad because you're a 24 y/o loser--finance is all about appearance and you are a bad image for a company. You can't compete with Chad Thundercock and Stacy Turbocunt. You will be stunted on by zoomers while they show up to school in BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc stacked in autism-core (Streetwear). Also, the school year has already started so you'll basically be starting at 25. I also imagine you will be in remedial classes starting out because I doubt you remember how to do math.
>community college, you won't be out of place at all because it's nothing but losers, ugly people, single moms, and older adults.
>when you get to university at 26/27, you will be slightly out of place because you will be the old person in the room and your instructors are the same age as you.
I'm 26 and just a junior in uni, fuck what sheep think
>there are so many people in school right now for compsci
yes, but decent developers are still rare
being able to program well and actually enjoying it, in itself, isn't normal
Lol, have fun with your worthless dregree, truck driver
