When did it hit you that you might not end up having the incredible life you always dreamed you’d have?

When did it hit you that you might not end up having the incredible life you always dreamed you’d have?

For me it went:
>grades 0-8: I can be an astronaut/musician
>grades 9-12: I can be a doctor/scientist/businessman/musician
>college: I’m too dumb for science or anything crazy, but I might be just smart enough to make it in business
>age 22-24: I can get by in low-mid level business jobs that leave a void inside me throughout the day

I wonder who could be behind this post.

Age 25 - realised material possessions don't make you happy and focused on internal contentment.

I’m usually pretty up-beat. Life as of late has just been getting me down. Any advice on improving my outlook?

Age 26 - realized that a large part of internal contentment is conforming to external expectations

That's not true at all. Yes you need some sort of shelter and food but fuck expectations, let other people run their own races.

Never.

In fact my life has only gone up since age 7.

Literally every year of my life has been better at least equal to or better than the previous year since I was a child.

I don't want to get overly cocky but I would have to say that I am on the path to massive success in life.

Remember user, being a loser is a state of mind. Change your mind and you can achieve miracles.

youre either a psycho/sociopath, or kidding yourself if you think you arent affected by what people think about you

it's 100% true for people of average to slightly above average iq
happiness is a solved problem, but because intelligence is a touchy topic for brainlets we pretend it isn't
high iq > internal contentment (like you said)
medium iq > external validation, group/clan/tribe impetus scaled to something bigger
low iq > subsistence needs, sex

Age 28 - I’m cooming

I became a professional NEET after I finished school. Still am to this day (9 years).

Any regrets?

How can i short your life?

Fpbp

Not mining Bitcoin in 2011 when I had the chance.
Concerning the neet life, no regrets so far, but I do have a small inheritance (300k Euros).

I've got the world in my hands. I show kindness out of selfish pleasure.

My dream job is being a DEA Agent, and I'm right on track actually, it's an attainable goal and I'm confident

>set straightforward goals throughout your day
>take pleasure in completing them
>challenge yourself daily
>don't self-flagellate for failure
>learn to love learning
>time is a resource you can never earn back once spent
>health is the most important thing you own
>money is easy to come by if you budget your time well
>value your time more than your money
>maintain your health to maximize the time you can spend
>pessimism and paranoia are tools for strategy and survival
>their cost is your health, so turn them off when not needed
>don't hate anyone
>understand that everyone is pretty much the same, varying by levels of awareness of this fact

tl;dr: stop being so fucking negative

It's never to late.

You just need to make a 360 changes in your mind, way you move and exist.
