I worked at the east coast, we had a separation lately, where they put all the workers who have no issue at all with each other in one department, and all the social shit show in another.
We had witchy wemen, an indian guy who is clearly gay, some chinese guys who always talked about some chinese soap opera.
BUT we got stuff done.
The other department was the one where they sit around for hours discussing "design flows" and stuff. I'm ok with "them", because they go back and forth on the gritty details, then we have 15 minutes interaction for 2-3 times a week and then they go back up one floor.
Spending hours in meetings discussing how they can get some native american indian woman help with her issues (she drinks at work).
I can't even understand why a corp would finance this kind of stuff, but it doesn't matter to me.
