Yeah, it's for drywall.

It wouldn't be good as an offensive weapon because there is no hand guard. If you used it to stab your hand would slide forwards toward the blade.

What type of steel is it made of? It looks like a fixed hilt knife. Does it have a full tang? These are the kinds of questions you have to make before buying any blade... you might have just bought a tactical butter knife.
