Well. I got laid off from my last job that had a mediocre "pension" plan. Worked there for 4 fucking years and only walked away with 2400 leaf bucks in group plan they had setup.

If you're living off student loans, do what I did. I found the best high interest saving accounts, and put the money I was going to use for future semesters in there and built some interest off it. Back then ING (now Tangerine) had I think a 2.5%, it's somewhere around 1.5 now.

You can also look into Sunlife, or just your bank and find aggressive accounts that will give big returns in a year or so. The interest you make off the student loans, but that into the RRSP.
