Have a hypothetical question. My buddies and I want to go on a long hunting trip out to the deserts of the Southwestern USA. We hear there's been a sighting of a pack of mythical Sonoran Sasquatch and we wouldn't miss it for the world!
My question is regarding gear and loadout. Any gear and supply recommendations that would make a 1-3 week camping trip for 4-6 hungry dudes go smoothly? We aren't the most rugged types, you see, so we are open to vehicle (quad bikes, dirt bikes, Gators, trucks etc) and fuel supply recommendations as well.
Luckily the Sonoran Sasquatch is usually rather diminutive so intermediate calibers will work great. Unfortunately we're not learned in their ways. Can anybody tell us a little bit about how they move, their usual migration routes, where to check for stored supplies, if they have any buddies such as birds or bees to look out for, etc?
We really want this to be a special trip without interruption (especially since the Sonoran Sasquatch is...out of season...) so any help keeping ourselves quiet and unseen would be recommended as well.
I really hope you gear up against ak47 because the smugglers don't fuck around when they transport millions of dollars worth of drugs.

Although the best way to engage an infantry force with AK47s at range is to engage at longer ranges with, say, an M1A. Then you're too far to hit and the AK is too inaccurate. If you know that forces routes you can create an advantageous situation for yourself.

Is it better to remain mobile on vehicles or is it best to plant a base camp to return to? Remaining mobile maximizes flexibility but keeps us reliant on gasoline and dependent on vehicles. Maintaining a base camp might betray our location to the Sasquatches and make us avoidable or huntable

He's shitposting. Wearing lightweight UV resistant clothing and carrying water will let you survive quite well in the desert. If you're relying on local water you want a hardcore iodine + reverse osmosis setup. Ideally you've got a camp to stash supplies at while on patrol.
