let's be honest here, the credit goes to the norwegian left for landing the 94 referendum. the mainstream right has always been in favor of joining the EU, and leading up to the 94 referendum the talks with EU was held by representatives of the labor party under the leadership of former prime minister Brundtland, and one of the key negotiators was Jonas Gahr Store, the current leader of the labor party and a jesuit. there are quite a lot of conspiracy theories about these two btw. one of them alleges that they were so certain that the referendum would go through that they signed the membership papers on norways behalf prior to the referendum, and that norway has been a 'secret member' of the EU since 94. the norwegian version of snopes, says this is common practice and that once the referendum went the other way the agreement never took effect. to me this doesn't matter much, because at the same time Gahr Store was also instrumental in norways negotiations for EEA (and the Schengen agreement I believe), and through these agreements we have given up a lot of sovereignty to the EU. yes we have fish and oil, but we'll see how long that lasts as we have to accept and implement EU regulations we never even had the chance to vote on (not that it would matter). on top of this our career politicians are doing their best to conform to the globalist agenda, a good recent example was the ACER deal which was shoehorned in during a media shitstorm in which the only half-decent norwegian mainstream politician was cucked into resigning from her position as minister of immigration and justice over a fucking facebook post. we signed away our sovereignty over energy production without a single debate, because leftist feelings had been hurt via faceberg.
