State run is ran by country's government, private run is ran by foreigners. Government can work for people, private foreigners in quest for profit will never work for country alone. It's very easy to determine if your television is foreigner owned by the fact they promote foreigner products. Americans haven't even seen reality when their television didn't promote some shit with multiple races. Anybody who pays goes on private television. That's not freedom, that's personal interests of few. Americans can't even imagine a television that isn't run by ratings and advertising. Socialistic television does not care about rating, not even a little and it doesn't airs what somebody paid for, not a single ad on television. Socialistic television news is concerning about news in its most basic source of info of specific happening. Private news is about lies and spectacle to attract viewers.

Difference is what system of laws you have.
