Just once I would like to see them hold a "gay pride" parade where the participants dressed and acted like normal human beings.

There are definitely women who try to enable gay people but I honestly think all women are bisexual so that's not a big deal as long as they aren't totally in the closet about openness to same-sex experiences.

Also how are the many non-gay related pride parades not functionally heterosexual for the most part?

They have pride parades now in Iowa and Mississippi. They even had pride events last year in Beirut, Lebanon, although they couldn't get a parade permit. There are lots of small towns and less coastal areas that have entirely wholesome, if nerdy, pride parades. The world is not San Francisco and BDSM festivals ≠ pride.
