Assad holds the position as dictator of Syria, and as such he is the chief of staff of the military, the military or "SAA" is very centralized and this means very little happens on the ground without approval from the top, so as such he is responsible for all the bloodshed. He started the war, the military was sent to quell the protests, they wouldn't have done so without his approval, and with his approval they killed innocent people that simply wanted democracy. He should step down immediately.

Quick Rundown on Iran. >protests happening everywhere, everyday >iran had to deploy the irgc becuase local police forces arent enough >the majority of workers have gone without pay for months, still havent been paid >food prices skyrocketing >rial inflating >many workers on strike

I have the feeling you are counting Iraq as an US ally.
Clearly you know nothing. The bulk of the SAA is comprised of a bunch of seperate militias essentially. There is no central command to the scale which you talk about.
>Tfw you can visualize Pingu hunched over his keyboard hammering away all of this on the keys while chain smoking like a madman. Based as always m8, cheers.
Huh. Didn't notice anything in Tehran and Mashhad but the government does seem to be insufferable so all the shit must have happened on other provinces

That wasn't the situation when this war was started by Assad.

Tehran has been on lockdown, the last protest I heard about there was by Dervishes, about a month back. A lot of protests happen in the Arab and Kurdish regions, although the rest of Iran is experiencing regular protests too.

>The Syrian government and Russia have given an ultimatum to multiple militant outfits present in Eastern Qalamoun near the capital Damascus to accept state rule and disarm, leave the volatile enclave or face war.
>During negotiations with local councils of the main towns of the militant-held area on Tuesday, representatives from the Syrian government and the Russian Peace and Reconciliation Center gave the militants until Wednesday to respond.
God you’re a fucking moron. They didn’t want “democracy.” They were literally protesting the fact that girls were allowed to attend school in Deraa in 2011. A bunch of Sunni Fundamentalists angry at the Alawite reign. It’s tribal conflict shit, they never wanted democracy.
