Seen this one recommended a lot. Seems like it's all about explaining how to have or develop a powerful personality, (which is something I need to work on) and backing it all up with history. Bit of psychology in there to that I heard helps explain why people do power games but also how to overcome them and play them yourself? Is this a good redpilled book for getting me in the right direct? I often do feel weak, not physically but ill-equipped in how to deal with strong personalities?

Yes, its a good book but it lacks everyday examples. If you have a bit of experience in life and you're not completely autistic this book will definitely help. But most of the rules you probably do them without you noticing. Anyway enjoy it's the first and only i've read so i can't really recommand any. I have to mention i bought baltazar gracian book called "homme de cour" last week. Haven't started yet

If you feel weak minded sometimes i recommend doing a sport like wrestling or grappling. It's one of the best way i've found to increase my confidence. It's out of context but it works for me

48 laws is considered by some a "dark book" because it's simply the harsh truth of social exchanges. But if you use it not to harm others but to improve your social stature then go for it. I have to warn you tho. Remind yourself that 95% of the people you'll encounter are unaware of the rules in actions. When you read on manipulation you become paranoid easily. That's the downside of it. So learn to step out of the game and take breaks here and there to refresh your mind. I know it sounds absurd. I forgot to mention dale carnegie "how to win friends and influence people". It's a more positive book but it's pretty brief and easy to understand for the average joe. Not as complex as the 48 laws. Powerful people like to keep their secret sauce, unless of course, they are actually want to equip the masses with powerful weapons that could destroy even themselves so that they can sit back and enjoy the fireworks. Which is also a bit of a possibility. The "self help" path can be fucking sith lord level dangerous when you actually start to see your ideas work in practice as I have.
