Anybody who thinks this doesn't know Wisconsin or elections in general. Wisconsin is a traditionally blue very white pozzed state that only began to shift red with older white rural turnout to just barely cross the threshold to be considered red in the past two years. With the judicial election, the older rural white base which made the state cross the line to be red were probably completely oblivious to the election, meanwhile the core of Wisconsin liberalism in the university system probably shilled their zombies out to spite druhmfphf for extra credit.
Its lamentable that this happened, but it doesn't reflect anything new. The rural unconscious voters which make Wisconsin a swing state are not engaged by minor elections, a basic fact. This is not indicative of a shift away from the strength of the red rural white voter in Wisconsin, but rather that water is wet.
