Yeah, the genome is the larger category, and the epigenetic details are determined by specific experiences by biological progenitors.

This is the birth of "demographics." But Demographics only represents the degree to which a country has broken down "identity," and thus subject to the sociocultural definitions of "self" that are allowed.

"Hispanic" first existed in 1969, for example, but this is only when the United States recognized it as separate from "White."

My ex-wife, born in 1976 to two Thai-Chinese immigrants, was technically counted as "White," because neither of her parents identified as anything but that - and I have seen a birth-certificate that proves it.

Race is fucking literally socially constructed.

You either know that or you don't - but if you believe that you have no free-will, then I don't want to belong to your universe.

That's a hard line to draw, but I'm willing to make it.

Like, your'e not wrong. Have you seen The Kingsmen? There's a line that we need to pay attention to: "Manners Maketh Man." Patriarchy aside (triggered), it's not "The Man," but "Man." How we behave in public determines our status.

But if we assume that our entire identity is predetermined, and that we are conscripted to some future based merely on the lottery of birth, then we participate in our birth-slavery.

I seek to free human beings from birth-slavery.

I want to show that we can logically determine another path than that which we are presented by media.

I believe peace is possible.

Again, I'm a dreamer, and I know that this dream is written off by most.

But there's a non-zero probability that we'll figure our shit out, right?

Humans have to evolve at some point, right?

Well, if it's not in my lifetime, then that's pretty much equivalent to the degree that I seek death.

That sounds stark, but I'm deadly serious.

I'm 40. I've seen a lot of things. You might not be able to imagine what I've seen. That's a good thing, because I'm sitting here on the Internet at 1:11 am shouting at clouds in the hopes of making a difference.

That's fucking pathetic, and I don't even care anymore. Humans are pathetic. I'm pathetic.

When we decide to start following our dreams, though, we decide we can make a difference, and that's the only dream we need to keep following.
