Of course, here possible sons would then also have 'bad' genes, diminishing their success in reproduction, thus indirectly diminishing hers.
You know it has mostly been a gamble in biology ... produce female progeny and have 'reliable results' in later generation OR produce male progeny and 'roll the dice' ... either they are successful and may produce even more offspring than a female (as men invest less energy in reproduction, don't have to carry a parasite leeching your nutrients for nine month after all) or totally fail at the game of reproduction due to being outcompeted by other males. So by reinstating proper selective pressure on males you would indirectly also select for better females in the coming generation.
