Asshat holds the position as dictator of Syria, and as such he is the chief of staff of the military, the military or "SAA" is very centralized and this means very little happens on the ground without approval from the top, so as such he is responsible for all the bloodshed. He started the war, the military was sent to quell the protests, they wouldn't have done so without his approval, and with his approval they killed innocent people that simply wanted democracy. He should step down immediately.

Sounds like you and your family bought in to the regime propaganda line from day one. Let me guess you saw sectarian graffiti in your neighborhood (despite the increase of security and checkpoints during that time). You got random calls from people with thick coastal accents claiming they would kill you as the revolution was underway, despite the protestors calling for unity and imploring minorities to join them? In case you guys didn't figure it out, it was the mukhabarat doing those things and it clearly worked. The rebels had many chances to wholesale slaughter Christians and Alawites in Homs and they simply didn't. Most Christians and Alawis would flee out of fear, but the ones who stayed didn't get mass executed by the early FSA/independent rebel groups so you are just spreading fear mongering. It is a fact that it was Sunni civilians who experienced the worst sectarian massacres in Homs carried about Shabiha. It was Sunni civilian women getting abducted and gang-raped by the SAA and Shabiha gangs in Homs city, not minority civilian females. It was Sunni civilians, protestors and activists who were mass detained by the security services and many were never heard from again or are still being tortured and beaten in mukhabarat run torture dungeons to this day. But I guess their lives don't matter to you and your family right since you have dismissed them all as "terrorists" correct?
>Reports of "zombie-like" raccoons puzzle Youngstown police
>In the past couple of weeks, Youngstown police have responded to over a dozen of these raccoon calls — all of them with reports of the same strange, zombie-like behavior. The majority of the calls happened in the daytime, too, even though raccoons are nocturnal.
>“He would stand up on his hind legs, which I’ve never seen a raccoon do before, and he would show his teeth and then he would fall over backward and go into almost a comatose condition,” Coggeshall said.
It seems many in here have this misconstructed view of pre-war Syria under Asshat as a bastion of stability, it wasn't. Syrian society was poor and unstable, and as such there were several uprisings against the Asshat dynasty. Asshats poor management of Syria shows when you compare it to its neighbors, Syria had a meager GDI per capita of about $2,500, while Lebanon (unstable but democratic) was at about $8,700, Turkey was similar at about $8,700 as well, and Israel (stable and democratic) was at $26,000. Even war torn Iraq, had a better GDI per capita of about $4,400. I think this paints a clear picture of the miserable state of Syria under Asshat's mismanagement. No wonder the people wanted something different.

Stop stealing my (You)'s memeflag, find another general to farm.
militias and hezbollah are not defined by being pro saa they are pro saa due to political circumstance and naturally composed of mostly arabs sicne its mostly arabs that live there, however that does not make them completely align with saa or be completely arab

I just want to say that Cucktada al Sadr definitely isn't our guy and there is a reason why MBS promotes Sunni-Shiite unity now
so? communists are enemy of enemy and have goals that align to quite and extent in the end when alls over due to mentaly and social reality of middle east nobody will flock to communism, but to tribal and religious banners
So I dislike Sadr because I'm a communist even tho hes the mainstream politician closest to the communists? No i dislike him for his foreign policy.

Putin and Rouhani wanted Assad to attend a conference in Istanbul, and Assad would only give it up if Erdogan invited him.
>President Putin and Iranian President Sheikh Hassan Rowhani want President Assad to attend the summit in Istanbul after what the whole world, including Saudi Arabia and America, realized that Bashar Assad's survival as President of the Syrian Republic is certain, but President Assad demands that the Turkish president should call on him, Then he would go to Istanbul to make the summit square.

every politician on the face of the earth is a sellout, no one truly adheres to the notion of statehood, nationalism, and so on everything is about money. It was much simpler when you knew the monarch ruled over you without the facade of elections.
