>work at McDonald's >min wage goes up >lose my free big mac meals and fries perk >have to buy food >food is more expensive now >try to make my own food at home >no fridge at McDonald's so sandwich gets soggy and warm by the time it's lunch (had to eat it later because it got busy) >can't even eat it because it's too mushy and puke on the floor >get fired
I'd rather have no jobs at all than jobs that don't pay a living wage.
These low wage workers are either homeless (yes there is homeless people who work full-time), live with their parents, or barely get by living paycheck-to-paycheck, and they're one step away from homelessness.
Not raising the minimum wage is just postposting the inevitable.
The collapse of capitalism/society, or an extreme change, like basic income.
Not enough jobs for the amount of people who need them.
The older generation letting their children live with them into adulthood is the only reason we don't have 20%+ of the population homeless, and massive riots.
What happens when their parents die?
Blake Ross
it's your own fault for being a human failure

lol mcdonalds doesn't give it's employees free anything, in fact last year even the managers lost their one free $7 meal a shift
Joseph King
>I'd rather people produce nothing than produce little idiocy
A business that can't pay employees a living wage doesn't deserve to exist.
Humanity is better off without it.
If it leads to less jobs, good. The current capitalist system is ridiculously unsustainable.
Homelessness will continue to rise as the older generation dies off, until there is real change in this country.
David Taylor
That's so weird to me. Say for example you have 30 employees, you give them a big mac meal every shift which costs like $8 retail (probably $3 or so cost).. it only costs the restaurant around 80 grand to feed everyone for the entire year and that's assuming all 30 employees ate every day (unlikely). Like why bother taking that away?
Actually I just looked up that the average McDonalds averages 2.5M annually so the employee food cost would be 3% of annual revenue which actually isnt negligible. Hmm.
Liam Young
>A business that can't pay employees a living wage doesn't deserve to exist Lemonade stands don't deserve to exist. You heard it here first from random ignorant absolutely moronic idiot #2817381.
Alexander Howard
Well I work at McDonalds and we do get a free meal every shift and 50% off. In San Diego, we get paid 11.50 minimum. When our restaurant went from Corporate to Franchise, our GM had to fight against our new owner to keep the free meals and discount. The Jew that bought us out wanted to take away the free meals, make the discount go to 15%, she reduced the starting wage to minimum(11.50), was 11.75 as corporate with a raise every six months. She makes us wear button down uniforms while Corporate gave us tees to wear instead, we had paid vacation days also that got taken away by the Jew. They also gave us free swag(the graphic tees we got to wear during work, keychains and pins and buttons and shit) all which was stopped when it became franchise. The cunt doesn't know what she's doing, our GM is trying to keep the place above water but it's a fight with the Jew to buy anything new we need. Shits falling apart and she rarley visits to see how things are going. Its not Corporate America, it's the Jews. Suprise suprise.
Dylan Carter
usually I agree with Ancaps but this post is shitty. The correct response is to say the companies deserve to exist up until people aren't going to put up with their bullshit. Don't buy products from POZ'd up businesses
Ethan Lee
If the capitalist system is unsustainable, why are you trying to make companies sustain people? You should be getting them that sweet UBI and let companies pay Edouardo $3/hour to sweep the place
Caleb Rivera
I went recently to the MCD's in my highly latino area....surprised to see TWO ordering machines. I was high and coming back with friends from a bar so not having to interact with any spics or have them mess the order up was honestly amazing!!!
Employee food cost is zero because the amount of waste is far greater. If I as an employee got to get a fresh but only just gone past its 5 minute "sell by date" I would fucking scarf it for free no problem.
Indeed, friends and ex GF's who worked the golden arches never had any trouble getting that shit for free. But it gets fucking monotonous eating it all the time I guess.
Gavin Young
You don't think they'll waste more if they know they get it free if it's wasted? Guess you aren't proxying then old chap
Jacob Nguyen
Never heard of a lunchbox?
Lower minimum wage to zero and watch all of you die out.
Please god.

>Not enough jobs for the amount of people who need them. This is a false narrative, working $8.00/hour full time can easily support yourself with rent and food. Now factor in that most places pay even more than that now, Target paying $11 and going up to $15, same with walmart, it's never been easier to survive as a poorfag. Capitalism isn't going anywhere.
Ian Taylor
defending peoples ability to voluntarily exchange is not the same as defending a kiketocracy ran by pedos, central bankers, and baby eaters. you fucking federal reserve note loving faggot jew nigger.

> I'd rather have no jobs at all than jobs that don't pay a living wage. Without welfare, this would be living as a parasite. It's also the case WITH welfare, you're just removed enough from the host you can delude yourself.
> These low wage workers are either homeless (yes there is homeless people who work full-time), live with their parents, or barely get by living paycheck-to-paycheck, and they're one step away from homelessness. That's what we call entry-level jobs. They're there for you to earn experience and level-up.
> Not raising the minimum wage is just postposting the inevitable... The collapse of capitalism/society, or an extreme change, like basic income. There's a collapse alright coming in (especially where I live), but it has more to do with government expenditures.
> Not enough jobs for the amount of people who need them. So let's close place who do hire at minimum wage, that'll drive employment AND wages up. kek.
> The older generation letting their children live with them into adulthood is the only reason we don't have 20%+ of the population homeless, and massive riots. And those riots wouldn't solve anything as the solution would be more gibsmedats.
> What happens when their parents die? Inheritance and job opening. Because let's face it, a large swath of them won't be able to retire before they die.
Colton Wright
If we had basic income, I would support completely getting rid of the minimum wage.
That's barely living paycheck-to-paycheck, no female will start a family with you.
One step away from homelessness, unable to save or invest any money.
You're literally living worse than a serf in feudal europe.
At least they got their own house, young virgin wife, and kids.
Angel Campbell
>hat's barely living paycheck-to-paycheck Yeah, and that is literally the worst worst case scenario, 99% of people can find better work without a college degree. I just demonstrated that even somebody who has done nothing their whole lives, developed no skills, no hobbies, no work experience, can live on their own.
Luis Perez
The reverse happened with us at Panera Bread >Shop owned by some old Jew as part of a franchise >GM Given free reign on how much to start someone out, most start at $8/hr >50% discount on anything + other benefits (Take home fuck ups at the end of shift, promotional outfits, etc) >Relaxed uniform policy (I.E. can wear shorts in warmer months) >Small shop in high traffic area >Shop racks money hand over fist with little to no logistical problems >Old Jew knows GM can handle things and lets him >Everything runs smoothly and everyone is happy >New corporate entity from Ohio comes in and starts jamming its hands where it doesn't belong >New uniform policy is absolute cancer for warmer months >Discount is only on personal meals and nothing else >Forces every Panera to move to a new location if their current one can't be retrofitted for a drive-thru (Which has been a miserable failure)
New Shop >Corporate is ALWAYS around and unilaterally making decisions based off of weak information >Constantly out of food items >Unstaffed drive-thru + automated kiosks + new production methods = ticket times have gone to absolute shit for no net gain >Hours have been cut like crazy to offset the retarded decision to move >Corporate sets inhuman standards and is constantly firing people for doing literally nothing (I.E. Shop is twice as big but they expect us to close in the same amount of time as previous shop) >Corporate is unwilling to budge on any of its constant belt tightening which is in-turn leading to less customers leading to more belt tightening
>no fridge at McDonald's so sandwich gets soggy and warm by the time it's lunch (had to eat it later because it got busy) You fucking pussy, I ate soggy warm sandwiches all the time growing up. I actually prefer them now, grow a fucking pair.
Camden Miller
> That's barely living paycheck-to-paycheck, no female will start a family with you. Increase what your time is worth. I'm back in school at 32.
> You're literally living worse than a serf in feudal europe. At least they got their own house, young virgin wife, and kids. And they worked a very physical job 70+ hours per week. Get two MacDonald jobs, and you can do the same. Except women marry for status and universal income just push them in Chad's harem.
Angel Sullivan
>That's what we call entry-level jobs. They're there for you to earn experience and level-up. College and trade school cost money, and you need someone else to support you while you do it.
An extremely large amount of people can't do this.
They are stuck, sometimes their entire lives, in these "entry-level jobs".
Many people can't even get these "entry-level jobs", because the labor supply is so over-saturated, that employers have extremely high demands even for these jobs.
>So let's close place who do hire at minimum wage, that'll drive employment AND wages up. kek. Less jobs are good, it means the end of capitalism will come sooner.
>And those riots wouldn't solve anything as the solution would be more gibsmedats. That is the only solution. Combined with stopping immigration.
The current capitalist system cannot be sustained.
There is no enough work to go around for everyone.
- Automation - Outsourcing - Immigration - Women entering workforce
Not enough jobs, capitalism no longer sustainable.
>Inheritance and job opening. Because let's face it, a large swath of them won't be able to retire before they die. Inheritance won't stop the upcoming massive rise in homelessness.
Liam Kelly
Degenerate fat fuck. You are supposed to eat once a week with a glass of water and one slice of bread. You eat too much and your body punished your for hurting yourself. Apply sawdust to the tongue and carve out flesh from the chest to fix yourself
Gavin Bennett
>somehow make food worse than McD leave it to a fucking leaf
Isaac Wood
I have a professionally tested IQ higher than 97% of the population, and I can't get a minimum-wage job in retail or fast-food.
Jordan Young
This is proof of nothing other than IQ means nothing, you are useless and lucky we have such generous disability programs in the West, I think they need to be cut back.
Chase James
> College and trade school cost money, and you need someone else to support you while you do it. This is why you take a loan. Just don't major in stupid shit and you'll be golden. Otherwise, there are skill you can learn by yourself, like programming.
> Less jobs are good, it means the end of capitalism will come sooner. Less jobs means less income the government can tax, which means more money printing / debt. Like I said, there is a collapse at the horizon, but it's not the one you wish for.
> The current capitalist system cannot be sustained. There is no enough work to go around for everyone.
> Automation This is, funny enough, a natural result of increasing minimum wage. People found ways to be productive when they were replaced by motorized farm equipment. We'll find a way.
> Outsourcing This is, funny enough, a natural result of increasing minimum wage AND various other regulations stopping investors. You're costing more than a taiwanese guy + transit.
> Immigration So we're going to have riots to convince Trump to deport more people? Top Kek
> Women entering workforce They're not as productive. Simply undercut them. Oh wait. Affirmative action means more money is removed from YOUR paycheck to give THEM.
So basically, the problem is socialism.
Luis Jones
Also: > Inheritance won't stop the upcoming massive rise in homelessness. What are you talking about? Right now, homes in Detroit are being sold 1$! As long as there are homes sold at that price, homelessness is a choice. Plus, it is in a gun-free democrat city!
Juan Cox
Society is not made for people at both ends of the bell curve. That would be greatly inefficient.
Justin Collins
Removing the minimum wage actually leads to higher salaries. Sweden got no minimum wage and McDonalds workers here earn at least 20$ an hour at entry level
Josiah Miller
I've heard McDonalds is pretty philanthropic for a corporation. Maybe trying to make amends for how shitty Kroc was. They do a lot of nice things. I guess each corporation is different.
Angel Price
I am not eligible for disability.
I would just be homeless if I didn't live with my mom.
>This is why you take a loan. Just don't major in stupid shit and you'll be golden. "Just get a loan"
Not everyone can qualify for a loan dumbass.
This is a huge gamble even if you do get a loan. You may end up worse after college, unemployed with your degree and $70,000 debt, even if your degree is in a supposedly lucrative STEM field.
>Less jobs means less income the government can tax, The 1% owns more wealth than the bottom 90% combined.
They have more than enough money to be taxed.
If they leave, we can just forcibly take their money (it's numbers in a computer system), ban them from ever entering the US again, or ever doing business in the US again.
Their fortunes were made from plundering American citizens, and financial instruments (like stocks), not work.
>What are you talking about? Right now, homes in Detroit are being sold 1$! As long as there are homes sold at that price, homelessness is a choice. Plus, it is in a gun-free democrat city! You can't even legally live in those homes.
Chase Gomez
higher than the negroe population of apes
you only count in white people and you would fall into the top 45% bracket
Nolan Ross
Nice strawmen arguments, but yes, autism is eligible for disability in the US, it's you/your parents fault they haven't gone for diagnosis yet.
Robert Rivera
> You can't even legally live in those homes. Sure you can! They just need a little love. And come with a very fair wealth tax to finance the city's bureaucrats and welfare programs.
Think about it. You'd be helping a progressive city, favoring a diverse neighborhood while living under the protection of a gun-free zone!
> Not everyone can qualify for a loan dumbass. Pretty sure those things are enforced by your government. Everyone has the right to an education!
> This is a huge gamble even if you do get a loan. It's a gamble just for the time spent in class, so yeah, I agree.
> You may end up worse after college, unemployed with your degree and $70,000 debt, even if your degree is in a supposedly lucrative STEM field. Avoid biology and you'll be fine. Otherwise, you can self-teach programming for much less. Just find a skill in demand and work for it.
Capitalism is trading your best efforts for someone else's. Increase what your best effort is worth through any means you wish.
Evan Baker
A small cooler with an ice pack, retard. Oh, and go learn how to weld or something. I still work at a restaurant one or two nights a week and I eat whatever I want and nobody says shit. I make metal chips all day, but I put my time in when I was younger, seriously it should inspire you to better things.
Noah Hughes
