I haven't noticed any perks and I can only remember two instances in my entire life when being white helped

1. Got really drunk at a get-together and started drunkenly blabbering to one of the neighbors then shortly after, police showed up saying there was some sort of harassment going on and we all looked at each other and shrugged and said maybe he was on the wrong street. I didn't figure out until DAYS later that the neighbor I was drunkenly talking to was the one who called the police and reporting me for "harassing" her and had we been a bunch of black kids instead of white kids, that cop would have fucking grilled, but since we were white and didn't know what the fuck he was talking about, he just strolled away without a word.

2. When I was in 4th grade, I was in the bathroom with a bunch of black kids (my school was about a third black) and a fight broke and some teacher came storming and DEMANDED the all of us line up against the wall and that we were all going to be suspended the next day. While I was standing against the wall, the teacher just kinda touched my shoulder and said I could leave. I was the only white kid there, so I guess she figured I was just there by happenstance and wasn't causing any trouble (which was true, but not ALL of the black kids were fighting, only two or three of them yet they all got punished for it and I got let go because I was white)

So yeah, I've had two easy breaks for being white. Two out of 29 years of being alive.

No, they congratulate him; they celebrate him. I also think it's a bit pretentious to say such a blanket statement as someone has an easier life than you. It's also not so clear to me that every race measures the value of an individual the same way. There are bound to be some differences. As an addendum, I'd also like to say it's increasingly infuriating to hear black people, or any minority, complain about things like this. The history of human accomplishments, the formation of modern civilization, everything you know and understand about the world today, was created thanks to the efforts of white Christian men.

What were black people doing? They couldn't even invent the wheel.
