I think that things are hotter between us and Russia than the government is letting on. Russia has massive forces stacked on their western and south western border. They are poised to strike into Europe and Turkey with little to no notice. I think we are at the brink for real. Russia cannot afford to be seen to cuck to us and they need the Syrian port to protect their exit from the black sea through the dardenelles. The GOP is going to find themselves in a no-win situation. Trump fires Mueller and it’ll force impeachment. If Muellers investigation concludes, its almost a guarantee they’ll be enough to warrant impeachment. If they wait too long, the Dems will likely have the House next January and....they’ll proceed with impeachment.
So, the way I see it, the “best” option for the GOP (note: not the best option for the country) is if they impeach now and hope they don’t have enough support to remove and if / when Dems take control, they’ll try to say they’ve already tried to impeach and use it as an excuse to “move on”.
In short: Impeachment seems inevitable. What is still to be determined is when it happens, what the Articles will be and if 15-17 GOP Senators will join the Dems to remove.
