they are not fighting as literal fighting, they are using and prviding aid to both diferent sides in that region, the reason why they are doing this is to get control over that reason, why? the oil they get out of the middle east has to be transported somehow, and they both want this region because it would be cheaper for both countries to transport their oil thru syria and that way sell it or use it from less money, this way more countries will be interested in their oil for the price and their economy will grow .

i believe they won't go into a nuclear war but tensions are going to be high, almost like the cuban conflict you stated above.

It wasnt started because balkan niggers were chimping out, it was started because of a complex serious of alliances in which the minute one person declared war on the other, everyone was declaring war on everyone else. No one gave a shit about the Archduke, they just wanted to protect their alliances.

Right now Russia just has Syria and Iran that are completly in their sphere while America/EU/Nato have managed to get Saudi Arabia (Saudia Arabia shouldn't be our ally but whatever) and most of the other middle eastern states (which in all honesty just want Iran/Syrian land to themselves) on their side. Russia is not going to risk war when they are at a distinct disadvantage, and the US doesnt want war when we already have the objective advantage.
