Issue with this conflict is that not even all of NATO have shared goals due to Turkey Syria is an amalgation of different tensions and conflicts, with everyone involved having their own goals and motives.
Trump/Bolton vs Mattis split consistent w @TheNationalUAE report: Pentagon late meeting on Wednesday narrowed #Syria options for Trump, *none* crippling for Assad
The window to use international outrage over the gas attack as justification for military action is closing rapidly. They've got may be a day before the public attention is lost. If Mattis is the one getting in the way, they will either have to drop him or pack up and go home with their tails between their legs tomorrow.
Everyone wants to bomb Asshat but there are disagreements on how much he should be bombed, not joking that is what is halting the happening.
Gavin Brown
We all know that Asshats forces used chemical weapons on Douma, it fits perfectly with the timeline of events. After the ceasfires and withdrawals in Jobar and Harsata, Douma was preparing for negotiations as well, but then the talks fell apart and the rebels vowed to keep fighting. This angered Asshat and the military was ordered to bomb Douma to force the rebels to surrender—we know this and it is well documented—and that is when the gas attacks happened, his unprofessional forces saw the order to bomb the rebels in order to get them to negotiate again as approval from higher ranks to take whatever measures they wanted. Clearly Asshat is responsible.
You can't effectively stop Assad without assassinating the man.

ataturks "reforms" were sick and corrupted the soul of the turkish society turned it from a relatively sane and heathy society to a modernist sham even today turkey still suffers from the moral void it will hardly repair
Thomas Powell
trump is a chaotic figure, it's hard to predict his actions but all this delaying is helping syria, it's like his subconscience is holding him to start this meaningless attack
>he thinks that is impressive for Assas he literally drives his personal car to the frontline to check with the troops and show a reporter around newly liberated areas.
No 50 van convoy, no bodyguards. Not even a protective vest. Just Bashar in his shirt surrounded by armed soldiers and volunteers, militiamen. The man knows no fear and grew into a living beacon of hope for his people.
