I'm depressed because im worried we're turning into a technocracy
Are We Turning Into a Technocracy? (Rule of the STEM)?

I'm an EE and I want to blow my brains out every day living in this society. Scott Adams is right. Take the Dilbert pill.
>turning
We have already arrived. Praise be to SIGINT.
I eagerly await the day when we can transcend the limitations of our biological bodies.
It's not so much that we are being ruled, but that our range of action looks limited.
For us in particular as misfits of the internet we aren't doing enough to have the massive presence we once had, and the reason for that is mechanical interference.
Why? I'd love to be an EE
>I'm depressed because im worried we're turning into a technocracy
You and every other brainlet crypto Luddite. There's a reason affirmative action is strongest and most heavily pushed onto STEM.
That's transhumanism, which is different.
you mean turned into robots and/or culled?
As long as technocracy gives us this I don't mind
When I was younger I thought technocracy is a good idea, but it really isn't. Just look at Google, Facebook, Twitter all these social media companies are progressive totalitarians.
That would be cool but I'd be at the bottom of that system. So fuck that.
Read the unabomber manifesto. Technology is not meant to be used for progress. We have way too many people alive, and especially non whites. Pic related.
>Overpopulated and those neon signs don't let you sleep.
Nice and glittery like a whore
>overpopulation
>real
Yes.
I'm not sure what technocracy even means.
Technology has ruled us since the Earth could no longer support huntergathers and people started to farm.
It means scientists/tech people will become the most influential in society instead of politicians/bankers like now.
Communism was advertised in its first years as a society ran by engineers and scientists, not by back-stabbing politicians. A technocratic utopia, free from the trappings of regular politics.
This is my biggest fear. As a banker and inspiring politician this terrifies me.
> law runts will become even more redundant
The most powerful woman in germany is a physics professor.
Surprisingly, being smart in one field does not prevent you from being a complete retard in others.
this
How though? Money is how the world works and 99% of scientists and engineers never have enough.
Sure there are people like Gates and Bezos but they are businessmen now.
Again, IF that happens. Hopefully we continue going down the current path and STEM runts become nothing more than educated slaves
>Surprisingly, being smart in one field does not prevent you from being a complete retard in others.
How is that surprising? I thought that was obvious.
>Chinese inner party members have engineering backgrounds
>Many Eurocrats started off in science
>Angela Merkel for example was a Physics professor
>More and more respect is going to Silicon Valley
>Gates and Bezos got into the establishment through science
>Science and tech is becoming more and more "cool" in the mainstream
I wouldn't be surprised if in 20 years you have to have started off in science or engineering to run for President just because it becomes so highly glorified.
>As a banker and inspiring politician this terrifies me.
Hmm, thats a strange flag for a jew. Usually you parasites choose the confederate flag when you troll. What gives?
>How is that surprising? I thought that was obvious.
Then it should be obvious that there is no intricate value in placing a scientist, no matter how lauded in his field, in charge of a nation.
The five year plan was created by an engineer, the german migrant problems can be placed on the shoulders of a physics professor who knows jack shit about sociology.
Influential like how a cog in a machine is influential. When it breaks, take it out and put another one in. I'm serious, take the Dilbert pill. As a tech person/engineer, you are so busy learning and doing the tech that you have no time to guide it or apply it to society. Even the best ideas become corrupted. In the end it will always be fucking idiots asking why you can't do it this way or that and telling you how your technology is going to be allowed and what it's purpose must be. They will always cherry pick any innovation you've made and use it to propel their own career either by making a meaningless contribution and blowing it up to them being the one who made it all happen or by literally poaching your ideas while you are busy toiling away at coding or answering emails they have over burdened you with. That's the reality and it's how all social control works - pussy and money. It's always some piece of shit calling the shots and they don't know anything about technology beyond what it can do for them.
are they putting money into the wall
Funny how you decide to troll with a canadian flag, basically asking for an arrest considering it's illegal in your country
>Then it should be obvious that there is no intricate value in placing a scientist, no matter how lauded in his field, in charge of a nation.
What about the fact that if a scientist is put in charge of the nation that means I am not in charge of the nation considering I am not a scientist?
And China, the Eu, Merkel and the Silicon Valley are such examples to be followed, amirite?
Ok nvm im ok with that.
No you aren't right. My entire thread is dedicated to explaining why those are SHIT ideas.
>basically asking for an arrest considering it's illegal in your country
Nah, Canada has a long and storied history of bantz.
Why would you be ok with that? It has led to globalization and suffering of the best to benefit the worst in life.
Nope just realing their "small size" compared to the wall, embracing their humillity.
We could do the same with the Coricancha wall and would look a lot better, but we don't have the money.
Because at school all the people who want to be engineers bully me and the second best kid at math in my grade always mocks me. Yes im 18 before you say otherwise. The idea that in the future these people will rule over me pisses me off. That's what it comes down to.
Yeah don't worry about those kinds. They're the cogs. There's based engineers and then there's soyboy tech fags that get off on being smarter and want to inflict pain on dummies. Based engineers love their dummies and make stuff for them, but not for progress' sake like a soyboy.
Nevermind then I take back what I said, and in fact i'll take back this whole thread if the delete button worked.
