>Russia’s air defense in Syria is comprised of S-300 and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.
>The S-400 and S-300 can detect up to 36 objects on their radars, and each launcher can fire at 12 targets simultaneously.
>These machines can detect targets at a range of 250-400 km. Meanwhile, S-300 and S-400 missiles can knock down incoming objects at a distance of 150 and 250 km, respectively. Not only that, enemy projectiles will be shot down even at speeds of up to 2.5 km per second.
>"The S-300 and S-400 complexes around the base are supported by Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile systems. This is a short-range anti-missile echelon that ‘mops up’ missiles that for some reason were not shot down by the long-range systems," Professor Vadim Kozyulin of the Academy of Military Sciences told Russia Beyond, adding that the Pantsir-S1 operates on targets at a range of 10-15 km.
They had to fire 103 missiles just to hit 3targets , that's comfovmation enuff to prove Russian air defences worked
Levi Johnson
those sams look awfully big . is there more than one missile in each tube?
Nathan Russell
the russians didn't even engage. probably not to look like fools. there were attacks all over the place. on Aleppo, Damascus, the T4 base and other places. probably the syrians intercepted some missiles. for the most part they got rekt. i bet the targets were actually Iranian facilities.
Joseph Murphy
S400 can track 80 missiles and fire at 80 at the same time. Russia never used it in this last attack. Syria used soviet era anti missile systems.
Jose Gomez
Yea the pics and vids showing many many hits are clearly fakes...
Elijah Fisher
I have yet to see a picture of something they claim to have shot down. US admitted which missiles never reached their target the last time they did this. Meanwhile Russia’s narrative keeps changing.
>be op >provide fact that >The S-400 and S-300 can detect up to 36 objects on their radars >know 36 will get shot down for every 1 to hit >37 missiles will bypass anti missle system >take out 3 targets successfully, fully abusing outdated russian defenesthe simplist way it was success, and russia is scared because everything it has to defend can easily be overwhelmed
Brandon Howard
No, they are very big because there is so much fuel needed.
The war heads aren't that big at all. 25 lbs or so
Liam Reyes
i fulley expect that the "postponed" order is a function of negotiating payment based on oil exports from syria - better hope for no shut down planes fags
Austin Flores
Wheres the video and photo of all these 100lb bombs going off and fucking shit up. All Ive seen so far is maybe 6-7 little baby bombs landing on empty buildings. No photos of the wrecked airports, no videos of thousands of tomahawks flying through the air.
>71 of the 103 missiles fired were shot down. If you were America would you come out an say you're strikes were not successful?
If someone shoots at you ten times and hits you with 3 bullets, he still kills you.
Luis Barnes
Those are located in the Russian bases not in Syrisn hands you pathetic Shareblue kike
Kayden Wood
Syria and Russia were warned in advance of the targets. Understand that last night was theater.
Kayden Ortiz
Source? I heard that they were supposed to receive a shipment of S-300s, but Greatest Ally intercepted it with an airstrike.
Charles Brown
>71 of the 103 missiles fired were shot down. If you were America would you come out an say you're strikes were not successful? Why did they choose to only shoot them after the Tomahawk missiles hit their intended targets? >71 of the 103 missiles fired were shot down. or was it 79 out of 105, or was it 100 out of a 100? Why can't syria, and russia agree to how many they shot down off video after the tomahawk missiles hit their intended targets? >Muh 6 gorillion tomahowk intercepted
False. Russians have them IN Syria, but Syria's best shit was made in the 1970s. Well not counting Pantsir S1, which was donated in limited numbers recently.
Xavier Ramirez
WW3 global decimation won't be theatre you scared little kike rat. Oh nvm that's not a UN flag.
Nathan Lewis
Sounds about right.
Daniel Carter
>literally tell all of Syria and Russia beforehand that airstrikes are imminent >fire off old stock of missiles designed in 1991 >30 bypass defenses that had advanced warning
Yeah, total failure lol
Jacob Howard
>it was just theatre >syria intercepted all tomahawks >tomahawks landed, but only hit empty buildings Which is it?
Evan Hall
What is reloding
James Stewart
you are making sense, stop it right now this is not the thread for that.
also russkie air defense is over hyped
Angel Williams
Source on that?
Cooper Wilson
Defenses were made in the 1960s though. It's a miracle they even start.
Well when WW3 rolls around ya can't fire 36 missils at everybody now can ya?
Easton Harris
We get no information on the quality of the air defense because we don't know how many rockets Syria fired. Maybe auto cannons were used. No idea. 70% of the missiles got shot down? Okay. What if Syria fired 2 AA at each one? 50% efficient. What if Syria fired 3 AA at each one? 35% efficient. etc.
Carson Roberts
>Interceptions caught on film Where in the film?
Jaxon Jenkins
I like how this comment genuinely upsets the shills. It makes me feel confident that my guess is rather close to what actually happened. From the reports on the ground, it appears the airports are where the bulk of the missiles were "intercepted" or at least knocked off target. I know the pantsir's are not going to be capable of intercepting more then 1 in 3, even in the luckiest of scenarios. I do know however that the tomahawk uses a combination of GPS, Inertial Guidance, and TERCOM systems. The TERCOM and GPS use a radio altimeter and satellite communication respectively, both of which can easily be jammed. Forcing the missile to exclusively operate on the Inertial guidance system, which although capable of making it to target gets more and more imprecise the farther it gets out. Russia has never openly advertised the systems as being out there but they do possess them and have showcased them before.
This is also congruent with how the missiles seem to strike their targets relatively close to the sea, but the airports further within the country where virtually unscathed.
S400s were armed but not activated. It is claimed the syrians shot down the missiles with their own equipment. Whether or not they did is irrelevant. What is important is that Trump can say "Assad used chemical weapons and so I blew up the facilities he probably used to make them" and Assad and Putin can say "The United States, at the behest of Israel, attempted airstrikes against the Syrian government, using a falsely attributed chemical weapons attack as justification, but we used our technology to stop the bulk of the attack." The actual scale of the airstrike, what the targets were, how many missiles were shot down, none of it matters, as long as there's some video of explosions for the news networks. Fireworks and a puppet show.
Oliver Nelson
>71 of the 103 missiles fired were shot down Didn't happen.
This. Trump fabricated too much outrage in order to be able to back off without a show. This also justifies his omnibus spending.
Michael Butler
I'm done with this "56% missiles were intercepted" shit that keeps getting posted all the time, they downed our missiles, USA are cucks, whatever the fuck it is, with these stupid facebook videos from live footage, im fucking done with this shit, don't you fucking idiots know that just because they shot 56% of the missiles down that doesn't mean the missiles that hit are 56% worse!!!! What is so fucking hard to understand about that,
Seriously, the bullying against our smart missiles is getting way out of hand, especially since our missiles are some of the biggest contributors and most involved in this war.
Its not just "memes" or "banter", its vicious attacking and regardless of intentions it does demean people and hurt feelings. I can't say I'm the only American man who finds it hard to take pride in his own country after having years of constant and needless attacks defaming our army from insecure Yuropoors here. Why not bully UK or France? Do they not have much more to be ashamed of than our army? Sand niggers get bullied less than us and yet we are the biggest contributors to this war.
Like when its not just banter, when a meme is repeated over and over again, repeated systematically, it eventually becomes a truth irregardless of the intentions in repeating it. And that isn't just jokes any more then, then its harmful!
Would you say they shot down "56% of our missiles" to our face? Would you say to a kind, peaceful and hard working salt of the earth American man that they we conducted a "shit fake preplanned strike that did nothing"? Like it's a thing. Would you say those words to your fellow Jow Forumsiticians? Are you starting to feel ashamed now? You fucking faggot? You're destroying American pride, you're dividing Jow Forumsacks against each other, you're doing the opposite of what you claim to support when you engage in this incredibly abhorrent behavior. So I encourage you to stop now.
something tells me these strikes were totally token, and done just to appeal to the hawks who think we need to do something. AKA totally half hearted. Not saying the russians arent capable of shooting missiles down, but im getting the feeling trump ordered this to not look soft.
Jackson Walker
No. America fuckt up by backing Saudis and Israel with this airfails with no prove, no UN resolution. This shit brought the Iraq invasion.
This only shows that the world that the UN is not wroking and that each and every ountry needs nukes to revange strike who ever attacks.
If I where Putin I station nuklear weapons in Syria and fuck who ever thinks to attack again over.
Jace Harris
>56% meme Not realizing that syria actually intercepted all 6 gorrilion tomahawk missiles. Haven't you seen the videos, or syrian girl's tweets that proved nothing, ?
Carson Thompson
pretty much this. everyone knew this was going to happen. we put some holes in syrian airbase runways to save face. the russians can say they shot down the missiles to do the same.
David Hall
I saw your crys and tweets of proving nothing,, hence Russians and Syrians proved nothing to hence we have something.
Michael Phillips
Nyet, they went all in, this is the list I got from (((some friens))). S-125 Neva/Pechora (NATO: SA-3 Goa) S-200VE Vega-E (NATO: SA-5b) 9К317E Buk-M2/ 9K37M1-2 Buk-M1-2 (NATO: SA-17) 2K12E Kvadrat (ΝΑΤΟ: SA-6 Gainful) 9K33 Osa (NATO: SA-8)
71/103, done a good job basicly against jassm-er
Jack Perry
Honestly seems like a smokescreen to test Lockheed's new stealth missiles
>We're gonna strike these targets >Oh noooooooo trump alerted syria with his tweets oh noooo >Fire a bunch of tomahawks >Fire 20 of the stealth missiles >assuming Syria isn't lying about shooting down the thomahawks the stealth missiles penetrated their air defenses and struck targets successfully
Basically around 30% of the missiles hit their target. It's only a failure if it didn't achieve the desired outcome. If it did accomplish what it was meant to do then I'd say it was successful; even though the defense knocked out 70% of the missiles doesn't mean it was a successful defense.
However I'm against all of this so whether it's a success or a fail doesn't matter because it goes against what I (and the American people) want.
Julian Adams
The latest tech Syria used was the S-200 which entered service in the Soviet armed forces in 1967. S-300s and S-400s weren't used at all.
I told you fags, this Syria false flag bullshit was just a pretext from NATO to see how capable are the S-400 SAM in a real life scenario, but Putin didn't take the bait and didn't used them.
Connor Torres
The goal was to 100% flatten the target buildings. It's pretty inefficient to do that with missiles.
Noah Lewis
Looks like more than 30 missiles hit this site, and this is just 1 of 3
You're so close but so far. The strike was successful whether ANY of the missiles reached their targets or not. The point was that there was an airstrike at all, and that the syrian government could at least claim to have shot down some of the missiles. This is not a prelude to war. Read Trump's statement from last night again. Yes, it's full of blustering insults, but you'll note not once does he even suggest that Assad be removed. Read between the lines, this was a hollow gesture, and an opportunity for Russia to move in more gear without drawing suspicion, because of course they would, under these conditions.
Bentley Watson
Your point?
Liam Wood
We didn't even target defense systems lad. Also, look into drone swarms. We will send 10K of them right down the their throats.
Ryan Thomas
We will not though, because we are not enemies.
Elijah Garcia
Looks fine to me, prolly hit by under 10
Colton Gutierrez
But these are new, smart missiles user. You can't use dumb barrel bombs like Assad the kid butcher!
Leo Sanders
I was just going over the success/fail states of this event... Not the meaning behind it. Hopefully it truly was a hollow gesture, but I'm also against these types of gestures too so either way I don't like it.
Parker Johnson
just the older S-200 systems..Russia news sources posted articles in English about the Russian gov't most likely will sell the S-300 systems to Syria, Iran, and North Korea... this could get 'interesting' for the (((Bauer-Rothschild))) Talmud Lucifer/satan worshippers world hegemony plans...just check out Russias S-500 Prometheus systems...we need to have T-shirts and posters made with Vladimir Putins picture to show support for Brother Putin , just like the lefty communist Satanists do with (((their))) Che Guevara and Karl Marx items...
>S400 can track 80 missiles and fire at 80 at the same time. >Russia never used it in this last attack. >Syria used soviet era anti missile systems. (S200and BUK and some other ancient shit) You a one Correct burger. The fucktards on Jow Forums that can't be bothered reading just 2 sites before posting. ~TASS ~DoD And making inferences between to two competing narratives. The Syrian air defences have been known for years. The Russians protect their Syrian bases with the S400. Following this latest charade, Russia is saying Syria might gain access to S300.
Jack Clark
While the S-400 can shoot down cruise missiles with no problem, it's main missile is intended to be used against fast aircraft like F-15 or F-35. The defensive missiles only has a 40km range, so the cruise missiles would have to be headed tp the S-400's region to be engaged, using the long-range missile to engage cruise missile would be a waste.
David Davis
>We didn't even target defense systems Because Russian military warned Dunford and Mattis BTFO. Both sides agree the US strike stayed well clear from any Russian assets/ bases.
Jacob Butler
Just an FYI.... In case your refugee ass rape accepting ass did not know,.... ALL i mean ALL and ALL militaries publish fake numbers n shieeet
Like when United states air force says sr71 blackbird can fly mach 3, that means sr71 blackbird can fly mach 5
Like when ussr says uri gagarin was first man in space, that means he was second
like when china says they have aircraft that can fly mach 8, they have aircraft that can fly mach 10
you are a retard for believing military numbers
Mason Rodriguez
You act like that's unique to Russia, Russia steers clear of US assets in the area as well, because when they don't, a couple hundred russian "mercenaries" end up dead.
Neither country wants a war with the other, they just want a sandbox where they can test their weapons.
Camden Rogers
T.retards
you do understand that they did not use anthing from S100 up to S300 because they cant track and attack targets that fly lower then 100 meters do you?
Kevin Moore
Mattis was in on it too
Aiden Kelly
This is one of the sites OPCW was ready to inspect. To ascertain if Assad used CW. Trump vaporised it just hours ahead of inspection.
Luis Cox
4u
Zachary Wilson
Why is it always a fucking Canadian? What year did the S-300 enter service?
Juan Rodriguez
Legit, Russians VPN as Canadians and Germans when they shitpost about America.
Call me crazy but keep an eye out, you'll start to see a pattern that's really obvious
Jeremiah Rivera
Syria don't use these missles, retard.
Bentley Sullivan
I agree. Someone should explain why they needed 100 missiles to hit 3 targets if nobody fired back. It doesn't make sense.
Nolan Reed
You post like you don't know a deconfliction line has been in place for years. However, this latest Trump missile strike prompted some very unambiguous public statements from Russian military.
Mason Collins
>justifies his omnibus spending. Fuck that noise.
Jaxson Morgan
But it's the S-300 that was created to have the capability of engaging cruise missiles, specially the tomahawk, the S-300 was literally created to stop tomahawks.
The S-200 system was specifically designed to shot down bombers and fast moving aircraft like the U-2.
Now the S-400 is highly versatile and the S-500 will have the capability of engaging AWACs, ICBMs and even low-orbit satellites.
It is unclear how many mercenaries from the Russian paramilitary organization, Wagner Group, were killed on February 7 in Deir al-Zour, Syria, in an attack led by the international anti-IS coalition. According to Russian newspaper Vedomosti, 50 mercenaries were killed and around 70 injured. The names of at least nine of the dead are known. The Russian Foreign Office initially confirmed there had been 5 deaths. Later, a statement said that "several dozen" from Russia and CIS (former Soviet) states, had been wounded and killed. They were allegedly in Syria "voluntarily and with different intentions". The anti-IS coalition claimed that it had attacked President Bashar al-Assad's troops in self-defense. ------ At least 30 men of the Wagner group came from the Sverdlovsk region. The activist Vladimir Yefimov personally knew 20 of them. The mercenaries left his phone number with their wives in case they didn't get back from Syria. They told their wives little because they had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
In 2017, a large group of men drove to a training camp for one month, recounts Yefimov. There, the men had to fill out questionnaires and undergo psychological tests. Then they went to Syria for half a year. Everyone survived, but some men were wounded. They all returned as "rich men." Yefimov adds. The mercenaries were supposed to stay at home until mid-February. But they already left for Syria again on January 28. "I was at least getting text messages from them until February 8. Then I lost contact. Now their wives call me crying," says the head of the veteran foundation. Only one of the 30 men is in touch with the activist. He was wounded and is now in the military hospital in Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia. "His phone had been taken away, but he found another one and called his wife," says Yefimov.
Noah Miller
So now NATO doesn't have the data it wanted and will probably do something else. So they'll continue to paint themselves as warmongers losing international support.
Isaac Jenkins
>Neither country wants a war with the other, they just want a sandbox where they can test their weapons. Sounds right to me.
Ryan Brown
>we just want to bomb your country >not an act of war
ITS JUST A PRANK BRO
Jackson Williams
I hope you retards realize that Syria got caught in it's own lie. They did not shoot down any missiles.
All those videos you see of them "intercepting" Tomahawks is laughably inaccurate. S-200's have a minimum engagement distance of 200 meters. The Tomahawks skim the ground at about 20 meters. That means there is no way there were S-200's engaging any of the US/British/France weaponry as they were all designated to fly low to the ground.
Every single missile you see flying up a mile high pretending they are hitting Tomahawks just leaves the Slavshits bamboozled. They aren't intercepting anything, they got a fake lock and are detonating in mid air instead of landing on some community a few miles away.
