We should decriminalize all drugs, but make people sign up to a database to use them legally. And those in the database are not eligible for any public benefits, and are automatically given a DNR order should they ever wind up in a hospital.

If a person gets a routine traffic stop imposed upon them over something as small as a busted taillight, and has psilocybin mushrooms on them, they risk much more than if they were not to. This means completely untouched, unopened, not consumed. Simply having psilocybin mushrooms in your possession puts you at risk for imprisonment.

I’m thinking of a scenario in which somebody gets caught with a bag of mushrooms on them, for WHATEVER reason. Doesn’t matter how this person ended up getting interrogated/searched, what matters is that this person would have an illegal substance on them that shouldn’t be illegal in the first place. What do you do then? That’s what I mean by a test. There should be a test to determine whether or not the person in possession is under the influence, which also determines if they walk away from the situation or not
