You cannot create these generals, kings and queens, in a story that is both believable and pushes left wing values. When the writer started to give up, he ultimately decided to allow the script team for the television show to write the reminder of the book series. This means that from that point forward the whole thing madd no sense and is full of fucking brainwashing. So many strong people of color in positions, battles, whatever that make no fucking sense at all. Game of Thrones and ASOIAF are then the same thing since this writing team took over the author's work. Qualitatively, both pieces of work are no better than an episode of the Colbert Report directed by Dean fucking Koontz.

I got a little off-track there, but you have to find a niche and start digging from there. I don't read much fiction, but I wish I had some recommendations. I enjoyed Enders Game (Sci-Fi, YA-ish, prose is weak) a few years ago, though.

I think it's pretty good - fags that say its shit without even reading it are brainlets. I enjoy seeing characters facing the consequences of their bad choices once in a while, no "absolute good x absolute evil" and how diplomacy works and win wars. The way Tywin won the five kings war even after losing every battle was, for me, the highest point of the story so far.

I've read every page of series up until the last couple hundred of the last book, and I never once read this. They still suck, though.

Good series of fantasy books was Name of the Wind. Sad thing about series and success is that authors tend to get bought off and ride the gravy train instead of writing, or try to force write when uninspired.

At the same time you have post modern shit like warrior women, but also the more traditional treatcherous queens and dutiful women who find their hapiness in taking care of their families. Sneaky weasely men succeed but its still a world very much ruled by strong masculine men. Outcasts may draw sympathy for not being able to fit in, but at the same time other characters find their salvation in improving themselves and learning to play their role in society.

Yes, the author is a hardcore liberal and the series has plenty of degeneracy (still dont forget that its usualy presented in a bad light) but as you've said it's one of the last mainstream book series with any testosterone in it.

I think writers are so degenerate because nobody is going to really notice. You got one page of filth buried somewhere in 500 other pages, and then it's just text, it's not a picture that can burn into your memory.
