That's just because there are two men raising the child. You can have that without a gay couple; mother, father, grandfather; uncle, uncle, grandfather; you get the picture. Children need the attention of male adults to thrive, and that doesn't preclude their being raised in a nuclear (heterosexual) family.

Gay Brit here. I only know one gay couple who even considered adopting, and they eventually decided not to and never regretted it. I think the question of whether gay couples can make good adoptive parents cannot be answered accurately through argument, because the arguments always end up going round in circles. The theory that gay parenting can work is being tested right now on humans, and when we get enough data to analyse, which will be soon, then we will know.

I was raised by normal parents and my feeling is that you need a mother and a father for a child to develop mentally healthy, and that having either no mother or no father, or two mothers or two fathers, has to be at the very least a disadvantage. Most fashionable social engineering is just carelessly trying to ignore instincts in the human psyche that have been evolving in the face of death for millions of years and aren't about to suddenly become irrelevant overnight. Mess with them and you might as well be calling up the Elder Gods to see what happens next. Pic related.
