Where is he going?
I read that this aircraft follows the president around the country. Why is it heading to MI?
NightWatch (WILLY41)
What site is that?
Bump
It's, so, laggy
im ready
It is, it also makes you wonder what is not being shown.
adsb exchange shows everything that is broadcasting adsb. I know this because I feed to that as well as vr server. I can look up what is in the sky 200 miles from me that is broadcasting adsb. Most websites like flightaware etc will filter out military aircraft and some that are asking to be blocked. adsb and vr server are the only ones I know of that dont block.
What is the link? Is it different from the one I posted above?
you cant get this link because its the direct feed from my adsb antenna
ill show you what my feed looks like compared to adsb. So my feed will show the location etc, I then feed that to adsb exchange which decodes the icao number and shows it on the adsb exchange website.
copy that.
So someone has to be in the general area to capture the adsb and send it to the exchange? So if no one is searching in a particular area then they will not show up on the website. Correct?
>americans actually believe this
correct, though adsb customer sites also feed data to each other, kind of like triangulation.
If you look at this map you can see which sites talk to each other. Its kind of cool
forgot to add this is what mlat is

Great information. Thanks!
So I can see that in the US we have limited dead spots but it explains when you look over say China there are no aircraft. It does not mean that none are there, just that no one is collecting their location and supplying it to the web.
no problem. adsb is fun and pretty cheap but I already had a big antenna used for a scanner.
I think so, europe is huge for adsb feeders. So if you look at flightaware map it has stuff over china but its not from personal feeders
see here is the standard adsbexhange over the same area
That's what I was noticing. So flightaware is primarily from airports and not personal stations? The exchange is just personal stations.
still trying to show the differnce between mil aircraft on the exchange as opposed to regular flight trackers. I live on the west side of a mountain so I don't get really good mileage to the east but there is a c130 over the atlantic that other people are picking up in jersey.
well flightaware does take from personal stations as well, they just block military aircraft and other planes that ask to be blocked. my adsb box is called a piaware, so the software is from flightaware but here at home its raw data that I can see before it sends it out.
There is a good bit of information here
adsbexchange.com
forgot to add, so I feed raw data to adsb exchange and flightaware. exchange just doesnt filter the stuff that flightaware does
>there is a c130 over the atlantic that other people are picking up in jersey.
this one?
yea thats the one, just a bit to low for me to pick up with the mountains.
I cant remember the website but it calculates what distances you can pick up dependent on the altitude of your antenna and uses 3d maps to generate a range ring.
