China does have huge influence in hollywood. That transformers movie where they're in hong kong is a great example.

You arent looking hard enough.

You don't even need signs, people notice the downsides quickly. People who act antisocially in China and have low scores are actually banned from flights and public transportation and the like. They also can't take out loans.

But people with good scores can easily get visa to travel internationally and don't have to pay certain things in advance and have extended credit.

People also link their scores to their dating profiles so if you're a good citizen you actually attract better women. It's social capital aligned with state interest, really interesting and clever.
