Why do Americans hate smart people?

Why don't we vote in a scientist to be president? Or why don't smart people want to run for politics?

Have any scientists with good charisma and policies run for President?

Doesn't help that the media shits on any alternative candidates. Anybody who isn't a non-threatening Dem or Republican.

The President's job isn't scientific, it's political. Being smart in one area doesn't make you smart in any other.

In an ideal world the President should be placing scientists experts in his key positions where their expertise is used to full potential. But American voters being terrified of science and expecting the President to be King is a totally different issue.

Its a mammal brain dominance submission function so it is a necessary pain in the ass that operates a a more primal level of communication/awareness. That is why politicians speak in a weird about face dialect and the voters receive it at that level and also explains why it is and always will be nauseating.
Another fun thing is that all the dominance games mammals play is practice for standing up against gravity.

I would be happy to have a weapons engineer as president.

because......jeebus...

scientists are too specialized to be the head of state. In most anglo sphere countries lawyers end up in Parliament. Im not sure how it is for you burgers, but I bet theres allot of people with law degrees in Congress and the Senate.,

>Why do Americans hate smart people?
Because Americans are stupid /thread.

you're right. Most of our politicians have law degree's. probably 80-90% I'd say the other 10-20% are ex military and less than 1% social work or business degrees. That is for Federal Congress though, I imagine local government has quite a lot more business degrees

Because the president doesn't have any real power, he is just the mask worn by the elite that actually govern.
I'm sure daddy Trump would have loved to see every one of your citizens smile and pull back the troops, but when he took office they told him how it is, a country built for war, sustain your economy with domination or else you will collapse, and so the skirmishes continue.

Yeah more down to earth people can be elected at the local level.

>tfw you understand we are worse off now than we were 30 years ago.

Because scientists are good at being scientists, not politicians

Those who win the presidency, no matter how bad they are, are usually quite smart. The idfference is that they do not necessarily know about engineering, math and stuff of the sort.

The president can delegate those technical tasks to the prepared people.

Americans are really, really stupid. Anything that appears smart makes them feel insecure. This is a fact, even when it comes to the Neil deGrasse Tyson types who think they know a bunch about astrophysics... their knowledge base is still limited, so touch on any real topics of substance and they'll back down or discredit your authority on the matter.

Do Americans read anything from history that has value in school? What do they even learn of history? School is a joke here, and our culture is like fifth grade nonsense.

Cause smart people realize its a bullshit job.

you could, but you won't because you're still under the delusion that democracy is a system of fairness and he's smart enough to know that the brainlets would riot and kill him should he ever institute the "unfair" system of a meritocracy

Hell I even think the Governor of my city used to be the town sheriff, so he probably had a criminal justice degree.

Republicans tried to get Ben Carson up there but the liberal media went after him because in his book he said he had a violent childhood.

they fucking ignored all the shit in Obama's book but went right after the stuff in Carson's.

Fucking liberals.

We missed out on having the smartest president ever.

>Why do Americans hate Strong people?
>Why don't we vote in a bodybuilder to be president? Or why don't strong people want to run for politics?
Fuck off OP. This is clearly b8.

Because all scientists are republican, and to win as a republican you need charisma which scientists lack.

Because Americans are a dumbed down race of consumer slave goyim with double digit IQs

As for the presidency, they put a stupid person up there just to mock you pretty much.

nobody smart is in science in the western world. why would you? boring jobs, not that much money. co-workers that are probably dead inside.

Because politician became a job. It's mostly lawyers with lots of money, campaigning by promising deals to investors so they can buy media rights to convince the average citizen to vote for them if they don't already have friends controlling the votes. Before we can even get to the question of why not a scientist, we need to find a way to have politics stop being for just :the rich, an exclusive club, lawyers.

Last time we voted a smart person into office we got jimmy carter one of the smartest presidents ever elected.
Look how that turned out for us.

>Do Americans read anything from history that has value in school? What do they even learn of history? School is a joke here, and our culture is like fifth grade nonsense
This

You see this guy here?

He made himself into a millionaire by using social media. Americans made this guy famous and rich by just following what he does. Also think about how white women worship the Kardashians.

Sure user, let's find a scientist who charismatic and seems relatable. You know, one who isn't pedantic or arrogant. Should be easy, right?

>Why don't we vote in a scientist to be president?
Because they are most likely shit leaders?
Have you talked to some scientist, they do not give a fuck about politics.

America is the world's economic engine.
A massive business with several billion moving parts.
Scientists tend to micro-manage.
Imagine the impact.

>Or why don't smart people want to run for politics?
Calm down. Scientists are usually great at only one specific task and are usually horrible at dealing with politics. Since it's about making crucial decisions, a good politician is also a good salesman, who is able to make contracts and deals with others, ultimately binding them to keep their promises. You need a guy who is suspicious of everyone else, someone who has the desire to dominate others, this is the only way to make decisions in the populations favor. You can see the people as cattle and the politician as the farmer: The cattle invest their lives for their own safety and the "selfish" farmer lives off of the cattle.

If a politician is not making any deals (by deals i mean "binding each others trust"), they have already lost and their cattle will suffer because of that.

This is not about love or reason, nobody gives a shit about that and nobody should, all you want is your cattle to survive and you will do anything necessary for that to happen.

You cannot even imagine what horrible things would happen to your nation if your political leader does not play the game of politics. Just look at syria - now used by other nations as a catalyst for their own goals.

Soviets had a bunch of leaders that were scientists.

>black science guy should run cuz he smart
Lol. What a faggot.

he is a nigger

You need someone with experiential personal experience like Trump.

You can’t just cook up theories to deal with the complexity of real life. You need years of reference experiences.

Theory based knowledge is shit.

>politics
>rationality
i guess most "smart" people just don't want to act like a sophistic clown and do whatever brings most votes, and just want to stay rational.
politics is full of smart people as well, it's just another way of being smart. the scientific way is not very helpful in politics.

Oh yeah because the Soviet Union was so successful with that whole collapsing in on itself

Because degrees in management are bullshit.

Most "smart" people are insectoid reptillian machines who do as they're told (scientists). We need WISE men like Trump to lead us

Americans are rabidly anti-intellectual. That's why so many of them don't believe in evolution or vaccines.

Because all of the values of science and engineering are the opposite of the values of politics.

It's a question of values. Scientific minded people, in general, don't want to compromise themselves for power.

Smart people realize it’s already over

err, it's less that they don't believe in vaccines and more that they don't trust thimerasol and the other heavy metal binders put in them that are neurotoxic along with the intensive schedule a baby is supposed to be shot on.

THE TRUTH BROTHER. PREACH ABOUT THOSE GODDAMN LIZARD PEOPLE.
