So Jow Forums, I think we all recognize the importance of living a healthy life. However, most of you don't even participate in the 1st step towards a healthy life: eating a vegan diet. Veganism is the healthy, moral, and ethical choice.
My only argument for eating meat is that my body needs proteins, iron and Vitamin B12.
Josiah Howard
animals don't have souls /thread
Zachary Brown
Doesn't this argument works for plants too?
Tyler Carter
Plants simply have no been proven to have significant reactions to pain.
Xavier Price
Oh no look a shill slide thread.
Jordan Hughes
Like rape victims
Caleb Harris
Yet quite literally millions of people live healthy, long lives on vegan diets.
Care to explain?
Charles Martinez
Rape victims have been proven to suffer hordes of emotional pain.
Nice edge, kid.
Aiden Garcia
The same person who would say something like your faggot picture would also spend most of their life doing drugs and having sex with multiple people thus, "living their life by sensory pleasure". Meat is food, and you need food to live, it's like critcizing someone for drinking water
Liam Fisher
Animals eat each other in the wild. I won’t stop myself from also participating in this system when animals are doomed to a life of suffering anyway. Humans, on the other hand, need only worry about being harmed by other humans, so in order to create a better world it is productive to be peaceful to your fellow man. Animals need not be spared.
Adam Cook
Can't plants feel emotional pain tho?
Matthew Wright
Just not the natural choice for our bodies. Nature is rough, it's not easy for bitches and pansies, so I don't expect you to understand why humans eat animals lower on the food chain.
Lucas Perez
please stop being a cunt, we are all animals we all kill each other its the life mother earth wanted us to live so its what we do. If murder was against nature then we wouldnt do it.
Daniel Allen
Eating ded animal != killing it yourself
I agree with vegans, killing animals is bad, the industry is fucked. However, can I do about it? Well, I could stop eating meat and then...what...they lose one sale once in awhile? You really think they give a fuck? No. If I stop eating meat, I'll have nearly no effect on stopping the meat industry, while I will be struggling to get a full set of nutrients etc.
When lab-grown meat actually works, I'll be happy to eat just that, because yea, killing animals at the scale we do is pretty fucked. (that said, we should always be killing some animals, not to would let their populations grow out of control. If we can reap a benefit from controlling their population we should)
Samuel Brooks
No one knows for sure, but to this point I would say no.
Owen Evans
I’m not a vegan but this is a bad argument.
Dominic Moore
I condone rape though, females deserve it. It puts them in their place.
Owen Phillips
Humans have the ability to live on a fully vegan diet.
So hurr durr, I need meat to live argument is bull shit. You voluntarily make the choice to make the wrong decision.
Nicholas Long
Name them. Detailed records or GTFO.
Liam Robinson
That's just false
Parker Hernandez
They actually show empathy with eachother. So emotions and shit is a bad argument
Justin Young
>Please defend your actions.
No, and I'm still eating meat.
Michael Flores
Well, then, rape is OK now.
Aaron Russell
>vegan >heathy choose one and only one
James James
>Veganism is the healthy You mean if you constantly check your diet? My brother wanted to go full vegan and almost fucked up himself.
I know you're not smart, but calculate, take the country's population and multiple it by the percentage who are vegan to find out how many millions are vegan per country listed.
Luis Nelson
If I had a choice of either eating OP or dying, I would eat OP.
when they can cultivate deathless beef that tastes like a rib eye, i'll eat it. until then i'm sticking with the real thing. fuck vegetables.
Jordan Barnes
What makes them not healthy? Feel free to explain.
Kayden Green
Keto is optimal for me. Veg*nism makes me lethargic, makes me hungry all day, and messes with my blood markers.
Jonathan Foster
their fuckkin animals m8
Carter Baker
1) Humans are not farm animals, so your analogy is not valid. 2) They are killed humanely 3) It is a part of our culture. 4) "Civilised" is a racist term that was used to denigrate non-western cultures. Using it as a part of your argument is inherently racist.
Michael Morales
For your argument to make sense you would first have to assume I subscribe to the idea that humans and animals are equal or should have the same rights, which I don't.
Isaiah Price
>Please defend your actions I don't have to Bye
Brody Perry
The reason I eat meat is thus: If you don't, you're literally cucking yourself out to non-humans. All memes aside, I don't give a rat's ass if animals feel pain. Whether or not they can (souls and what-not) is up to you, but the fact of the matter is, since all of us are humans, the view of civilization MUST and ought to be viewn through our subjective lens. Thus, through that end, vicariously showing both ourselves and the animals that we matter more to them then their feelings do is the end goal.
Vae Victus.
Alexander Brown
Strangely, Nasimie-chan inspired me to go full vegan. Been a vegetarian for over 10 years now so it's not a bad leap. Be good to yourself. Be good to animals. Realize what you're eating.
So, it's okay to RAPE a VEGETABLE? You people are SICK!
Parker Parker
>well, I’m a vegan Is the penultimate form of getting high off of your own farts. Humans need animal fat for proper brain development and meat enzymes for healthy gut fauna. End of story.
David Bailey
>Humans have the ability to live on a fully vegan diet. Humans have the ability to live interactionless, sexless lives. Humans have the ability to survive eating trash and food that is literal slop. Humans have the ability to live in caves, without electricity or the ability to shit post on the internet. Yet, we choose not to.
You choose not to.
Robert Jones
I am an omnivore, my body is equipped to eat both plants and animals, I kill most of the animals I eat so I know the cost. My body seems to perform better on a ketogenic diet than on a vegan one and if we are going down this road are you avoiding all life based products in you life?
Protein: beans, lentils, etc Iron: spinach and other greens is enough for men. Women lose iron faster because of menstruation so probably need supplements. Vitamin B12: kimchi or other fermented foods or drinks (kombucha for example, which is something that you can make yourself for very little money), seaweed (if you boil it you can add it to soups, ramen, miso)
Personally I don't really have a problem occasionally eating red meat but I generally prefer fish. I don't like chicken because 1) they are dirty animals that eat their own feces and 2) I'm white. I eat probably less than 5 lbs of beef in a year. I like pork because it pisses off the desert people and because I absolutely detest pigs as animals. They are fucked up, evil creatures and eating of their flesh is good and moral.

>vegan >healthy pick one
a vegan diet is deficient in cholesterol. your brain is made out of cholesterol. testosterone is made out of cholesterol. brain nerves are made out of cholesterol. all cells require cholesterol. cholesterol is the most important nutrient & you need it in abundance, and it's only present in animal foods.
not to mention that humans have eaten meat for all of human history. most hunters & gatherers lived off mostly meat. to think that what we've evolved to eat is somehow bad for us is peak autism.
most of the research done on red meat consumption is factory farmed animals that are fed GMO corn, soy, antibiotics, hormones, etc. these animals are sick and are locked in cages all day, not to mention they are treated inhumanely. everyone fucking agrees factory farming is detrimental to health, the animals, and the environment.
grass fed pasture raised animals on the other hand are perfectly healthy. these animals eat their natural diet and roam grassy fields in the sun all day long. most of the negative health effects from eating animal products is from factory farmed animals, not grass fed pasture raised animals.
also it is impossible to be vegan without importing foods from other parts of the world, so it isn't sustainable for the environment long-term. unless you live near the equator, you won't have local access to fruits & vegetables all year round. if you were living in cold, northern europe thousands of years ago, you would have to eat what was around you. it is impossible to eat a vegan diet locally. you need to ship in food from other parts of the world to live off this diet.
the three biggest crops are corn, wheat, and soy (you'll find these in basically all processed carbohydrates / foods in someway or another.) you also need animals to farm. animals shit on the land (manure), which fertilizes the land and helps plants grow. if you don't use animals to farm crops, you will have to resort to using
Nathaniel Bennett
(2/2)
...chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, industrial chemicals, etc, which damages the environment and the crops themselves, which end up hurting our health. so in reality veganism is the most destructive diet there is to the environment.
Chase Jones
Prove to me that it is immoral to kill and eat an animal.
Jayden Gutierrez
Very strange that you post this. It's from a movie Cannibal Holocaust where there's footage of animals being murdered and skinned alive and torn apart. When I saw this movie years ago, I worked at a pizza place. The next day after seeing the movie I was putting meat on a pizza and out of nowhere I threw up in my mouth. Couldn't help it. It was a sudden realization that I was handling a dead carcass to feed to someone else. Never ate meat again after that.
Grayson Turner
Mankind's ancestors didn't claw their way to the top of the food chain just to eat carrots and suck tofu.
I reject the argument out of hand, since animals aren't people. Animals exist for exploitation. Killing them requires no justification, they aren't human. End of discussion.
The reason vegans are so retarded is because they have low cholesterol which is vital for developing brain neurons.
Sage
Lucas Torres
because eating animal is yummy
Owen Lewis
>not been proven to have significant reactions to pain pain is an emotional reaction. the word you're looking for is nociception, which is what animals and plants have.
Zachary Ortiz
Do you even lift faggot?
Dylan Lee
Just to slide in and drop some knowledge on you faggots: Many anthropologists speculate that eating meat was fundamental to our brain development as we evolved from earlier hominids. Humans have a particularly large brain to body mass ratio. This ratio positively correlates to intelligence across almost all species. For example, dolphins and elephants are in the same general area as we are. The ratio is a good indicator on it's own, but it isn't comprehensive until some other metrics are factored in with it. Anyway, in order for us to sustain and eventually grow our metabolically greedy brains, our ancestors had to be eating meat. There's no way that we could have pushed our noggin boxes above the standard correlation without consuming massive amounts of protein - that could only have come from eating other animals. If we had developed some guilt complex about eating animals hundreds of thousands of years ago, we would be sub nigger-tier as a species. If not for meat, we wouldn't even have the capacity for this kind of faggoty empathy. Ironic indeed
I’d probably rape if I could get it at a supermarket too.
Julian Flores
This. Vegans represent a form of ego so disgusting since they concern themselves with the wellbeing of animals over humans. Man has its own issues that vegans are rarely more concerned with than “muh animal exploitation”
Some animals have souls. Dogs, cats, some species of birds have souls. Monkeys, niggers, chimps, and others don't.
Leo Cooper
Here's an idea. You go over there, and eat your soy grass. I'll stay over here, and not have to listen to your mewling.
Tyler Richardson
Most animals don't have free will. Complaining about killing an animal which isn't sufficiently intelligent is pointless, because if you haven't evolved to the point of having free will, you're basically nothing but a biological computer acting out your programming. At that point, you miaswell complain about someone taking a laptop and smashing it with a rock, the only difference would be if it was made out of metal/plastic or meat/bone.
For that same reason though, I would harshly criticize anyone who kills great apes or dolphins for meat.
Ethan Gonzalez
Moral and ehrics are relative. I choose to eat meat because it is readily availible to me, tastes good, and provides me nutrients. I also eat plants. The taking of a life (human or animal) is not inherently wrong, only at its face value is it such.
Nathan Baker
Here is a real eye opening video of why you should eat meat and living a vegetarian/vegan life is stupid.
B-but that cow could have grown up to be an astrophysicist.
Michael Barnes
Soyboy detected
Kevin Myers
homo sapiens is the Superior species.
Dylan Cook
I don't care if you want to be vegan, as long as I am allowed to buy and eat meat, as well as a wide range of food products that do not contain soy, additives and artificial sweeteners that the vegan food industry adds to half their food because vegans won't eat it otherwise.
Michael Butler
why should humans be the only animal that can't eat another animal for sustenance? This is just Natural Law.
Sudden realization that you were handling meat... Originally from an animal carcus... Dude it took you that long to figure it out?
Nicholas Thompson
This. It's the circle of life user. I understand people who eat vegan or vegetarian for personal health reasons, or people who don't digest meat easily or don't like the taste but the morality argument is entirely retarded. You wouldn't be here if your ancestors didn't eat meat. I don't particularly like factory farming and shit treatment of animals, but it's the world we live in. I prefer to eat animals that lead comfortable lives before slaughter but alas I cannot afford it at the moment, and it can be hard to find.
Ryder King
A cow would fucking destroy you if it were able to. We need to preserve our dominance over nature.
Adrian Richardson
This is jewish soyboy bullshit. Humans have eaten meat since the dawn of time, name one civilization that conquered anyone eating only veg.
Jeremiah Perez
Life is cruelty.
Cooper Sullivan
Humans are omnivores, every aboriginal tribe out there has a mixed diet. Going against that is unnatural.
Colton White
Why do I have to be civilised? Because it's ordered of me? I hate the majority of people.
Nolan Davis
morals are a human construct. nature doesn't give a fuck. the same nature that gave you your teeth.
Nathaniel Taylor
Vegan is superior. Everyone should and sooner or later will be vegan
Brandon Myers
How is rape not ok?
Jaxon Adams
Might as well chop your balls off and become a bitch
Blake Myers
Nigger I eat keto - mostly meat, fat, with veggies and I lost a fuck ton of weight in no time. Go shove kale up your ass and fuck off.
Jackson Taylor
No, that would be a waste when they produce such high quality sperm thanks to a good diet
I've never seen a non soyboy vegan, ever, veganism is pussy, I love hunting and killing deer for meat.
Charles James
Souls aren't real fag
Christopher Morgan
Yeah I would never eat a cat, dog, dolphin, elephant, or whale. Unless I was starving and absolutely had to. If I was starving to death with my dog or cat, I would just curl up and die together with them. Unless one of them died first, I might consider eating them.
Joseph Perry
Shut down the slaughterhouses, there wouldn't be consumption of meat in the first place if it's outlawed
Brandon Reed
I don't know the people you met but it's like saying in the nineties "the internet is shit, everyone who uses it is a nerd with glasses and acne"
Brandon Flores
>If I only steal from 1 guy it doesn't matter because there are plenty of other people with stuff so I would make no difference
>Civilized people require more than sensory pleasure to justify behaviors Actually they do not, in general. They specifically need to do this in cases where there are downsides in terms of harm, or risk of harm to humans, i.e. ethical problems. Since eating animals don't qualify, the onus is on the veggie fags to explain why it's wrong, not on normal people to prove it isn't.
Killing animals is not ethically wrong unless you are deriving some hedonistic pleasure from it. Obviously it's kind of fucked up but I do appreciate that Animal Control needs to kill mad dogs per year so that they're not roaming the streets being a nuisance and fucking shit up. By the same logic, it isn't fucked up to kill them for food. I would maybe pay a premium for the flesh of slaughtered animals who were treated well before their killing, though.
Jose Morris
In order to show empathy you need to be able to think retard, plants don't have brains or emotions.
Ryan Thomas
Animals rape each other and eat each other constantly in the wild. Certain animals will rape another, get them pregnant and then eat some of the offspring, even mothers eat their own babies on occasion. Hope that doesn't offend you soymonkey, the universe is harsh and cruel and not for the faint of heart. The game goes on and we play our parts in that game. Accept it.
Kayden Fisher
>Eating meat >Raping a human Holy fuck how is the left popular? How do people actually sink to this level of retard-ism without noticing?
Being vegetarian/vegan is prohibitively expensive and inaccessible to poor/underprivileged Americans since the American agricultural industry's infrastructure is built around the production of cheap and plentiful meat. Check your privilege and go facefuck yourself with an eggplant, cuck.
How the fuck do you know? Are you a dog? A cat? A fucking lemur? Just because animals can't communicate your sentience to you doesn't mean they aren't sentient.
>muh mirror test The mirror test is only applicable to animals with sufficiently large visual cortices. The olfactory cortex is the largest part of the brain in many mammals and they distinguish between self/other by scent, not appearance.
>muh neocortex Humans have a larger neocortex, but if anything this makes us less inclined to suffer. The neocortex is actually mostly inhibitory and its efferents are on the limbic system, so our intelligence makes us more resilient emotionally. Animals don't have this luxury. When they suffer, they suffer in pure agony without our capacity of numbing it.
Ethically we should be vegetarian (it's possible to eat milk/egg products without being cruel), but it's incumbent upon us as a society to make that decision. Most Americans don't have that means of sustaining themselves economically and nutritionally while living a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.
