Basic training is not a big deal, routine training after your first year is much harder. And real combat is worse, but only because you never know that it's all going to end soon and your life goes back to normal.

i was a shy kid when i first got into the army , so were plenty of other people i know . every single one will tell you by the time 1st day of basic training is over you'll be too tired , too overwhelmed by the discipline and too glad to have a few minutes without the makking(fireteam\class leaders) ordering you around to give a single fuck . in addition to there always being someone fatter with a smaller dick then you .
tens of thousands of nerdy and shy dudes went through this and 99% of them became fine with showering naked with the guys nearly instantly .
