so what is erdogan plan with the area he put guard towers around ? just to let rebels continue to do shit from that place ?
Carson Rogers
yes
Brandon Jackson
the rebels are too busy killing eachother like senseless niggers to launch any offensives
Anthony Cox
It's a Jihadi Reservation until they kill each other.

As the smaller factions in the civil war are finished off will conflict eventually boil down between Turkey and Syria outright?
Matthew Miller
>boil down between Turkey and Syria outright? probably a proxy war
Daniel James
Don't think so. Syrian side will have to make concessions to keep KARA BOGA away, and Turks will most likely be satisfied with those. Their relations won't be anywhere near normal for at least a decade though.
Jose Sullivan
Good evening /sg/. So how are you tonight? I want to die. I fucking hate that /ptg/ comes up now whenever I type "/sg/" in the search bar for the catalog, all because they put that cursory "Trump declares war on /sg/" bullshit in their OP.
Direct confrontation will be avoided by both sides. No one from NATO will support Turkey if they start shit or even if they get hit whilst in Syria and they risk of shitting up their somewhat friendly relationships with Russia and China. The real question is how will Syria be divided after all of this is over. Especially with burgers and kurds still being there.
Austin Lewis
>The real question is how will Syria be divided after all of this is over this would be the best outcome
Caleb Ortiz
this is all just because assad didnt approve the pipeline.
Personally, I'd rather see Syria in one piece, rather than divided into multiple smaller segments, but I doubt the outcome will be anything else.
John Ramirez
I'd like to see some /sg/ OC maps of people's best border outcomes
Alexander Moore
Energy control of Europe is serious business.

if it makes you feel any better, they're mostly not outright malicious about it, they just dont give a single shit about anything outside of their borders and cant understand why we're here. they're quintessential americans.
Two years back there were a lot of map fags here, if they are still here, I bet they could draw out some speculatory maps. I haven't been around nearly as much to be able to speculate on these things correctly. Maybe someone will make a speculatory map later.

thank you user someone had to do it Yeah, it's obvious it was mostly put there as a joke or through just plain foolishness, but nonetheless it grinds my gears that they come up in the catalog now. What I did is that while I prepared the OP I had the catalog open and kept refreshing over and over, so that I'd know if someone else did it while I was baking.
Aaron Brown
no, he's doing it for himself and to put Turkey in a better position for negotiations once the war is done
> is that fucking flagship really still working on fucking coal ? It works on liquid fuel. in any case, ships rarely meet environmental standards. I heard that the 12 largest merchant ships produce as much pollution as all cars on earth.

Russia probably won't do anything T*rks, Iranians, and Syrians will just kill enough mutts and k*rds until they give up

>flagship dude, its an aircarrying cruiser - just a ussr leftover failed engineering experiment. But its all we ve got so we like to parade it around, nobody here takes it seriously and neither should you.
Lucas Ortiz
yeah its true that navy as never been russia strong point , maybe your submarines are really the only thing you have going for

they will persuade the kurds (sdf) to hand over the americans to the syrian authorities, they will force them to betray the americans by threatening to use the turks against them

no he's actually right in this case Russia should sell it to China and stick with their current naval plan of smaller boats with lots of missiles
forcibly bussing political dissidents to one zone of the country huh... this is straight out of north korea's playbook. next step in the instruction manual says to starve the region... that cant be right, can it Mr. Kim?

Probing attacks and limited airstrikes already began in the last few days.
Expect full offensive next week. Already started. Jihadmin is slow but SSNP and NDF have captured 13 villages today.
Doesn't look like there's much left inside. Probably all focused on the M5 main road and the towns along the route. When the M5 is cleared its an uninterrupted route straight to whats left of Idlibistan for the first time in more than 5 years.
Looks like their(Syria/Russia/Iran) plan is Homs and South Damascus pockets followed by Dumayr pocket and Daraa then either Idlibistan or finally removing that disgusting black spot called (((ISIS))) in Govt territory before moving to Idlibistan. That would leave just Al Tanf and Idlibistan under rebel control. ISIS area are annoying raiders but low priority in grand scheme of things. Though they've suddenly become daring and besieged Sukhnah cutting off the road to Deir Ez Zor for about 14 hours a few days back aswell as hit a few depots owned by the SAA. I guess the Israeli's finally figured out how to resupply their favourite proxy. They're probably gonna get removed in the near future once operations in western Syria are finished.
Green area is Al Tanf one of the three main crossings from Iraq into Syria and vice versa. The American terrorist training area where if Syrian troops cross, they get bombed by USAF. Also the approach vector for the B1 bombers and F16's that struck Damascus on Saturday morning. Maybe the Russian ground forces should try to take on the Al Tanf area and deter a USAF attack.
oh fuck off, calling a piece of junk a piece of junk does not equate to hating your country just because it made it. Im moderately convinced we got the best AA systems and rockets, but that diesel abomination is fit for a museum, not for combat deployment.
Samuel King
nah, Daraa will get taken it's just whether or not Daraa will happen before or after Idlib since Daraa will be touchy for the jews and mutts to lose
the battlecruisers are much cooler flagship desu
Jason Smith
Dumayr and that big pocket above it have some sort of agreement with the government, so it’s unlikely that they are ye next target (that title goes to Rastan)
Chase Thomas
Yes but Daraa must fall. Assad can't afford it. He needs to close the border
