The idea was to pretend that they were only joking about wanting to "kill all men"; hence the smiley face. Whether abortion is legal or not isn't the issue, and isn't the fix to plummeting birthrates, instead we should focus on making women want to raise children and build families. Abortion being illegal may mean more children, but a woman raising a child she felt forced into having is alot less likely to lead to productive members of society.
