Why didn't the Nazis make their flag blue or yellow, or literally any color other than red?
Red is literally the most threatening color there is and its in our biology to recognise red as "danger", also I thought the nazis wanted to distance themselves from communists yet their flag is blood red.
I remember watching in a documentary (TGSNT I think) that Hitler designed the flag to be distinct and hold power, to attract people; Red is probably the most distinct and attention grabbing color, and it was also used as a somewhat piss take for Communists and Liberals because it was “their” color and they were/are polar opposite ideologies
Adrian Reyes
they still could've changed their flag after getting power, so when they went into war they looked more like the good guys.
The flag is suppose to strike fear into the cummunists, so red seems to be something associated with fear and anger, it's quite genius for such a flag to be the most hated symbol in the world.
Carter Hall
He did, this was to give the Nazis a symbol, he was an artist after all.
Liam Allen
Because red is associated with socialism
Benjamin Clark
Jesus fucking christ you just have to look at the flag of the german empire
Wew lad you are special, it's red because it represents the colors of the german imperial flag black(swastika) white(circle) red(background)
Grayson Smith
that color makes me sick
Kayden Ramirez
Red also harks back to the crimson of the Roman Legions.
Benjamin Parker
Red is ok
Cameron Myers
Red can mean danger but not as clearly as the combination of yellow & black imo. It's our associations with color schemes that makes them good or bad, example: Yellow & black can symbolise danger as we often poisonous creatures bearing these colors (wasps, snakes, frogs etc.). Therefore we see this color scheme employed in hazard & warning signs etc. Red can also symbolise anger, passion, lust, blood, sacrifice.
Ayden Rogers
nazis copyed communist memes
Jeremiah Bell
Because it was a symbol of strength not a symbol of submission you soy riddled faggot.
Black, white and red were the national colors of the German Empire. During Weimar many nationalist parties used these colors to show their disdain for the Republic.
Ayden Morgan
red was once considered the "color of kings", dating back to ancient rome. the togas of diplomats was colored red, the roman kings kept on wearing it and so it became a symbol of power. it was also the most expensive colour.
Angel Morris
nat SOC... think about it
Brody Morgan
Go read Mein Kampf. Hitler himself writes a detailed passage as to why red was chosen. ... or you can choose to sit here listening to all of the lame theories being passed on here.
Noah Parker
>the Nazi party is just an ironic board >we were just memeing Bullshit This is retrospective bullshit
They used red and communist tagines and slogan to grab votes
Afterwards, when they rose to power, somebody questioned their socialist past and they came out with the "joke was on the communists".
Isaiah Harris
That's purple, fuckwit.
Ayden Wright
Unironically this.
Mason Martin
1/ Because the German Imperial colours were black, red and white as opposed to their cucked colours which are black, a very ugly light orange and red and the swastika flag was supposed to represent the rebirth the German empire hence they adopted those colours 2/ Exactly because it is threatening
Ryan Lewis
best colours right here
Lincoln Ramirez
>the nazis wanted to distance themselves from communists yet their flag is blood red. They wanted to challange them and got a huge part of their following from former communists which is also why the commies found them so dangerous and systematically attacked them.
spoofing communist fans into their party meetings to get them on board
Logan James
You're supposed to strike fear into your enemy not be nice.
Xavier Adams
the taegeuk is the most important part, you faggot
Parker Rivera
Theyre socialists
Dominic Sanchez
Do you actually need a Jew to explain this to you?
Jaxson Nguyen
This, pretty much. The entire Weirmar republic was ripe for communist takeover, so NSDAP just copied the commie rhethoric and imagery, tweaked it a bit and made it their own.
Gavin Lopez
How'd you think it would have all went had they succeeded back in 1923 and taken power?
Ethan Collins
I think they would have adopted more imperial german iconography and flags, since the population would not have been so radicalized yet that you would have to turn into literal pseudo commies to maintain any order.
Of course that would have been to allies just as dangerous seeing as the new nazi flag.
Obiviously, but do you think they'd act against Germany in 1923?
Nicholas Scott
To associate themselves with the workers' movement. That is also the reason why they called themselves a workers' party, despite being nothing of the sort.
James Jackson
good job completely misunderstanding him
Jacob Wright
lurk more faggot. it's all there
Robert Jackson
literlly a retard flag design.
Daniel Jones
I think it would have made little difference. Anglos and french would have agitated for war, aided by commies who would infiltrate into their system.
Gabriel Sanchez
Hitler was a socialist that hated banks and finance industry.
Hint: jews are known for what ?
Camden Collins
But the commies would be weak in 1923 thats my point.
Thomas Cruz
Noah is that you?
Lincoln Edwards
he actually did. it says it in the greatest story never told.
Jason Rodriguez
True that, it might not happen right away, but i think a war would be inevitable.
Even if allies do not outright freak out about their defeated enemy emerging out of the blue with the same exact symbols as before, i think both the banking interests and increasing communist infiltration of the western nations would inevitably lead to a moment when someone will attack germany.
Charles Barnes
It symbolises the blood of the ndasp members killed during the putsch
Logan Lewis
That's aesthetic as fuck.
Robert Rodriguez
>color Nice proxy.
Kayden Thompson
Women are attracted to red and purple. It looks like ripe fruit to those foragers. Maybe if you werent a massive cuck u would know this.
Because German original flag was black with red. Red was associated with Communism, Buddhism, women and good fortune.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Germany#Napoleonic_Wars >During the Napoleonic Wars, the German struggle against the occupying French forces was significantly symbolised by the colours of black, red, and gold >Out of the blackness (black) of servitude through bloody (red) battles to the golden (gold) light of freedom.
>why didn't hitler pick a cuck color Because Hitler wasn't a cuck OP
Mason Rogers
That was the point. It was meant to stand out, catch your eye, and intimidate those who were against it. Have you never read Mein Kampf? There's a whole section about why he chose that flag and it's evolution and development.
Chase Davis
Doesn't matters which edition, Americans took over all the media.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institut_für_Zeitgeschichte >The Institut für Zeitgeschichte ("Institute of Contemporary History") in Munich was conceived in 1947 under the name Deutsches Institut für Geschichte der nationalsozialistischen Zeit ("German Institute of the History of the National Socialist Era"). Founded by the German government and the State of Bavaria at the suggestion of the Allied Forces
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denazification >The Information Control Division of the US Army had by July 1946 taken control of 37 German newspapers, six radio stations, 314 theaters, 642 cinemas, 101 magazines, 237 book publishers, and 7,384 book dealers and printers.[34] Its main mission was democratization but part of the agenda was also the prohibition of any criticism of the Allied occupation forces.
Eli Hernandez
Their flag is red / white / black because these were the colors of the Reichskriegsflagge in the German Empire.
Justin Wright
can't you read the image title? its the north korean and south korean flags merged together.
The part of the Mein Kampf that comes from was written while Hitler was in prison and had no power. But I wouldn't expect someone posting with a commie flag would know that much.
Cooper Jones
>nazis were the original shitposters
Nicholas Ramirez
National socialism is not to far from international socialism, but they are in denial...
Nathaniel Walker
Because it was at the same time the same colors of the German nationa flag (not the Weimar sellout flag)
Reminds me too much of the finnish airforce flag :D
Eli Phillips
Actually Hitler describes in Mein Kampf that he considered blue for the flag beacause he loved the aesthetic result, but he avoided it 1) because red was more powerful and 2) because white and blue were the colours of Bavaria and he didn't want the movement to be thought of as a Bavarian movement.
Liam Morales
this these people are retarded
Jaxon Edwards
They just used the original German flag colors and redesigned it to be a nordic flag with a swastika
