I agree with your premise but not your reasoning. Social media keeps everyone hypnotically distracted giving them no time to build up feelings to lead to revolution. They're constantly fed a stream of faux outrage as well, getting them conditioned to angry responses that die down within a few hours. The population-wide simmering anger that builds over weeks on the same issue isn't really possible in this enviornment.

humans are not smart enough to process "a fast moving revolution" because it will always get lost in translation, the meaning and purpose of the revolution will be confused as info spreads too fast and as a result, the revolution will boil itself down into a protest with a few "outraged" people. as is the case with all modern events like this.
then it will die.
a slow moving revolution, born around kitchen tables and quiet conversation, will have the benefit of a solid foundation whose message cannot be misconstrued.
it will spread organically as ideas are presented face to face with regular people. only genuine interaction person to person can win hearts and minds for any cause.

Not the way I saw it - you said revolutions need a slow transmission of information. I disagree, they have a lot to gain when information can precipitate quickly.
