Poor people fuel the sale of drugs (government benefits from this), alcohol, and cigarettes so there is no way they would want to kill poor people. Poor people are usually poor because they're either lazy or they spend money as soon as they get it and capitalists love that. OP, you're missing a very important point though... The poor are very important in western societies because they replace the middle class who, in turn, become the new poor.

Of course, then this leads to the children of these hypothetical individuals. The child of the person who started out poor is now middle class. The child of the person who was middle class is now poor.
