Next floor manager told me "yeah, about that raise, I don't really know you so I can't push that. Keep working a bit harder for the next couple month then maybe I'll speak to the boss, but no promises". And then that bitch like doubled my workload and wrote angry memos to upper management with CC to me that I barely get my work done and she can't recommend a raise.

So at some point I noped out and just stayed at home. And that decision was... interesting. I have way less money nowadays, but I'm free to do whatever I want all day long.
