I grew up with video games since the 90s, I never had a problem playing outside. My friends and I played outside all the time, when we got tired and it got dark we went inside and played vidya at night. I don't imagine kids today really have a problem doing that either. There is some onus on the parents to kick them outside though. You can't expect kids to parent themselves

Can't stand Linux, never really got the appeal of it. Command line is still very useful for system management, diagnostics, and low level control of the computer that GUI can't do. In some cases it's just faster to use command line.

Even as modern technology gets easier and more accessible, the old ways still have their purpose.
