memes aside, what we need is a new hybrid philosophy, something alike nat-social democracy.
A breed between nationalism and the scandinavian system, where you pay lots of taxes (up to 60-70%) but you live in a literal heaven and everyone has everything, everyone is smart and educated, everyone is rich, despite/ or thanks to/ the high taxes. One thing scandinavia got wrong is the immigration. They just don't get that their system only works for their own people, smart and educated.

The western European and Scandinavian systems of regulated capitalism have been the best ever invented. By far! They just don't work anymore because of immigration. The only incentive people would have to spend their money elsewhere is if the current business isn't providing a good enough product, and the other one is. That clearly wasn't the case here tho, because the people stuck with the big mogul. Slashing his prices wouldn't affect the quality.
