yeah, it's a great place to start with 'normies' because it's something they relate to, many of them were alive and remember it. and it's been so thoroughly debunked. so once you show them that it was all a lie, you can start to teach them how it is all actually connected with the world wars and everything else, it all falls into place. good luck teaching your friend. it's the best place to start.
