They did have public executions but that is sort of a common cultural thing in the Arab world. He actually tried to ban it but the Libyan people rejected his proposal.

I think there are a few things that could happen.
We could balkanize to the point where we get on the verge of a civil-war-esq situation. Maybe some attempted coups.
Another scenario could be mass disagreement with the government and states band together to break off (Cascadia, Califonia, etc.)
Whatever happens that causes our demise will most likely be brought about by something economic like a huge market crash.

Public executions I don't really have an issue with, in fact I think they can serve as a deterrent. The drug/alcohol thing i guess I dont either unless it is out of control which it is usually what happens let's be honest but if you're only hurting yourself then whatever. But the rape/kidnap thing I can't defend and if you watch that one documentary where he goes into the school it does look like he is trolling for qt's.

I actually have an original printing of it. He talks about "socialism", but that term has become a bit subjective over the years.
Again, great guy and great ideas but it was definitely a lot different from Lenin's interpretation of socialism/communism.
